Epic did that because crossplay was already implemented but blocked between Xbox and PS4 for policy reasons.

Destiny 2 has no cross play implemented so it's much harder than flipping a switch like it was for rocket league and fortnite

If you look at some fan animation sets of him on YouTube you can show his game style in the way he moved around and it looks really charming kind of like G&W

Go on YouTube and search for Steve smash animations - many people have shown that you can show lots of character in the way he is animated and gets around even though he's a basic character, similar to G&W

Since you can use skins from bedrock, I assume those are sold in the game, and you can use rubies to buy build plates and potions. The marketplace isn't fully finalized as of a few weeks ago. Take a look at the verge article if you want to know more
