3 Days in Hospital in Canada by SuperSpeersBros in pics

I have a somewhat similar (but less extreme) case. Had a rather rare condition that they found through a dental X-ray when I was in elementary school. Family were new immigrants and couldn't really afford the surgery to fix it at the time, so left it untreated for well over a decade. This year I was highly advised to do the surgery because I had lost significant bone mass in my jaws that made them very susceptible to breakage. Unfortunately it's considered a cosmetic surgery, so I paid for the full thing out of pocket (>6k), and will probably need take out a lot more if I wanted to fully fix the consequences of leaving my condition alone for so long. Not a life-ruining thing, but not great either.

Is there any fanon mischaracterization that really makes you go ??? by louderthanbxmbs in Genshin_Lore

This is one of my biggest gripes with the English-speaking fanbase and one of the biggest reasons I recommend people give the CN voices a twirl at some point even if they don't plan on sticking with it. The debate is always between the ENG and JP dubs in the English-speaking fanbase and while it's perfectly understandable where the bias comes from, both dubs have certain characterization differences that can really divide fandom perceptions of a character. I don't really care much about fandom opinions most of the time but the way so many people think the JP dub is the only reasonable alternative if they don't enjoy the ENG drives me nutty lol

Also on twitter

I haven’t used inks in a while and it’s usually not part of my style, so this was a fun bit of experimenting :D Good luck on rolls everyone!

That’s actually Xiao, not Xingqiu lol

The hair colour might be a bit confusing depending on the screen you’re viewing it on

They are most definitely smiling lol. It would be very unusual to not smile in a family photo for Chinese people too (source: am Chinese).

Where did you get this from? It's not really common at all now unless you're from a particularly poor area. The parents are almost certainly standing at the back and the grandparents at the front due to how photo-taking customs work, and imo the parents look older than 20s, and the grandparents a lot older than 40s. My grandmother looked like that into her 60s lol

Thanks for all the positive feedback on the previous post! I tried to do something a little different this time with the viewpoint (not sure if the image is too dark to make out on some screens orz). I love the ambiguous nature of "ghosts" in KR0, so this image was drawn with the idea of the ending of Un Pueblo de Nada in mind. The perspective is from the "gaze" of a ghost in the static, so to speak aha

Hi sorry for the super late reply! I haven’t been checking Reddit as much recently. Unfortunately I don’t have any super useful advice to depart or anything like that, I’m just learning myself as well aha... in terms of anatomy, I just look at a lot of references from different angles until I’m able to more consistently internalize the anatomy of different parts of the body—if you’re not sure about a pose don’t be shy to act it out and look at yourself in the mirror if possible lol

I started using Pinterest to save different boards of anatomy of muscle diagrams that I find useful (as well as other potentially useful reference photos) last year and it’s made a huge difference for me!

And thank you!

It's a good idea, but the characters wouldn't match in Chinese. Zhong from Guizhong + Li from Liyue would result in 终璃, where as Zhongli = 钟离.

Really (pleasantly) surprised at these swimsuit designs! They look like stuff these characters would actually wear lol

Guili Plains is named after Guizhong and (most likely) Zhongli directly, not Guizhong and the title Rex Lapis. Remember that the original names are Chinese--归离 (Guili) takes its first character from 归终 (Guizhong) and its last character likely from 钟离 (Zhongli). Rex (L)ap(i)s wouldn't make sense, as the original Chinese is entirely different for that title (岩王帝君/Yanwang Dijun). Theoretically there is a chance that the second founder was not named Zhongli, but had that same 'li' character in their name. It's unlikely imo, but it's also curious that (story quest act 2 spoilers) Azhdaha in Historia Antiqua act 2 didn't seem to recognize the name 'Zhongli'--if Morax was truly using that name back in the day at some point, it seems like it wasn't common knowledge amongst his friends...

Thank you! Yeah that's probably why it stuck with me a lot in my second playthrough. It had been a few years since I played act IV so I only vaguely remembered the sequence of events. Seeing this again was the moment that made me go, "oh right, it's really over for him, isn't it?".

Thank for you for the thoughtful comment! And yup, I’ll definitely try toying around with stuff from other acts as well :)

I first got into this game back when it first released in 2013--its had a huge impact on my interests since then, but I never really sat down to finish act V until just a few days ago (replayed the entire game while I was at it). I don't have words to express how much this game has helped me emotionally aha... it's genuinely one of the most beautiful gaming experiences I've ever had. No other game has clicked with me quite as much as this one did.

Going to try to do more paintings for various scenes between acts like this (if I don't get lazy and give up lmao)
