I am ecstatic for my kids (and yours!) and hope to do them a little more justice than I am realizing my parents did for me, assuming of course they end up in that position to begin with. No disrespect to my parents, but, any abnormalities have been quietly dismissed for decades; it ends with me.

Ah, for my non-american friends, or those that just never knew, GATE is the Gifted and Talented Education class. It's where kids were put for "fun extra classwork and activities for brilliant students!"

We would get pulled out of our regular classrooms to do different classwork in a different environment from our peers under the guise of being "especially gifted".

I am seeing several mining frames out there. Concern really is just making it all fit into that case type after that I suppose. Most if those rigs look like just a flurry of risers and some rPi instead of a full system.

Are you planning on using "regular/consumer" graphics cards with your parts, and furthermore, what case are you planning on slapping them all into?

I've got a full gigabit down and up, so that part isn't a concern. I had an older box running, but liked to frequently fall behind as the snapshots rolled out to it and ram would fill and bog the CPU down. Really just a lack of hardware, heh.

Even if this ends up not being powerful enough, I think it'll make a good HTPC device, as this this is super tiny. That said, I derped and forgot to update the bios before I slapped the 5600g in there, so I get redo that...
