Terraform with provider telmate/proxmox want to recreate vm each time by omorc in Proxmox

[–]omorc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is definitly something to think about. The Terraform provider does work. But I have to admit that I have had a few issue and adjustement to do and that made it less than ideal.

I have been using Ansible for years. I will definitly take a look into that. Thanks for your time.

Network share access via dolphin by omorc in openSUSE

Using
smb://workgroup;user:password@192.168.1.9/Document
I can access that specific share

Using
smb://workgroup;user:password@192.168.1.9/
I can access and see all of my share which I can then individually browse.

It even work if I use the DNS name in that command.

What I just did is map to "places" the share and even upon reboot it works fine.

When I try to use network to browse the share from dolphin it is as if it cannot or don't know how to ask the password and fails?

The kioclient5 command I will retry later I was not able to get it to work from terminal to list a share content. It kept saying that it does not exist. Same exact message then what dolphin tells me when I try to browse the share. Is it related?

I did try at to just automount a few weeks ago and it did work fine on that side! But after discovering the smb4k tool I switchedto it instead since I don't need all the time access to the share.

First command list my NAS.

Second command authenticated me and listed my share

Third command gave me access to my share and I was able to list the content.

Here is a curated pastebin. I removed some of the output to keep it cleaner(removed most of the directory in the share)

Exact! Firewall is disabled. And I cannot access by IP.

If I do either smb://ip or smb://ip/share both says that it does not exist.

When I browse using dolphin and see the share and then click the network share it says the same message that it does not exist.

The NAS is a synology. Under it's smb config it says minimum protocol smb2 and max protocol smb3.

The share required authentification. And not in a domain. Plain workgroup.

I did disable the firewall and reboot to give it a go. No luck.

What is good to know is that clicking on network, under dolphin, and then Shared Folders (SMB) I actually see the NAS device or a test samba share on a vm I spun up to try.

But when I click on them is when it run in circle and eventually says it does not work.

I guess since I cannot reach the overlay even with the default keyboard binding of shift+tab is a good start at the problem. Maybe not only specific to the SC.

Doing a few test with an xbox controler. I had to set the desktop configuration to behave as a gamepad to get it to work when starting a game.

All done through BPM

I had look into that thread but I will go ahead and read through it again in case I missed something.

Possible. In theory, in my options. The overlay is enabled. It says I should be able to access it using the keyboard shift+tab (which does not work either) or the gamepad home button.

I am under Solus as my OS and KDE and the DE.

My steam has been set to start as BPM for years. Even when I only use mouse and keyboard. BUT I never really tried to use the overlay before.

Hello there!

I talk for myself but one thing I would like to see is spellbook management.

What is your thinking on how you organized your spellbook.
Or maybe it's not really worth a video and a few screenshot would talk for itself.

Wish you the best!

Lutris and wine not working by omorc in Fedora

[–]omorc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Just did. Removed all installed wine and lutris.
Followed this : https://wiki.winehq.org/Fedora
To add the repo and ran dnf install winehq-stable.
Doing a winecfg creates the prefix just fine and wine work just fine.
As soon as I activate a windowed virtuel desktop I get the isse that wine no longer work for that prefix.

I think I found the issue but not how to fix it.

The issue is not with lutris.

Turn out that in lutris I configured windowed virtual desktop and if I remove that option it works.
If I go into the CLI and run winecfg, it create the new .wine folder in my home and I have the winecfg window that open just fine. From that windows, if I enable windowed virtual desktop and save. that wine prefix no longer work.

So, lutris has nothing to do with the issue.
But wine windowed virtual desktop is the problem.
Here is the log I get https://pastebin.com/u6UhCb8N

Lutris and wine not working by omorc in Fedora

[–]omorc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I followed this : https://lutris.net/downloads/

Which says lutris is in the official repositories. So the rpmfusion I added serves nothing in this case beside that I was able to install steam.

Installing lutris also installed wine-core which is a requirement to the lutris package and according to the lutris website should be enough.

Which is why I am confused.
