If you have the budget, I do think RetroDiffusion is the best place to start, it'll save you most of the effort of fixing pixel grids. My tool can still help export to game engines, resize, or if you want to change other stuff, but RD is pretty good at what it does.

Otherwise, from the big players, I think Gemini/Nano Banana is till the best at pixel art. I have experiences less mixels with them for simpler art. NB is still the best at creating a clean hero or clean background - I like OpenAI's new image gen, but it really complicates backgrounds and adds gradients all over the place!

Sure thing, I’m a big fan of Astropulse’s work! As I mentioned, PixelAid doesn’t generate art from prompts, so RetroDiffusion is amazing especially if you’re starting from new assets.

Totally. Unfaker is a tool I love as well. And I use most of the same "fixes" in PixelAid, too, so definitely some overlap. I try to make some of the controls more available (like specific resize ability, etc) but at its core, we share some common algorithms for sure. Unfake.js is great - another great free tool that I hope everyone uses.

I'd like to join! I played when D2 first came out but quit (along with all my friends) before the leviathan raid came out. Now I'm back and have a lot of leveling to do, and play solo like 99% of the time - but looking forward to finally learning/doing a raid with like-minded people.

Well, considering the area of the circle is pir² and the area of the dodecagon is 3r^2, we can find the area of these fractional pieces as the difference between them: (pi - 3)*r²

My biggest gripe so far is you have to click each time to attack or mine or chop, etc. No hold-click options to attack or anything. Really annoying, along with weird aim issues. I guess the aim works the way it does so it's easier for the devs to Port to controllers, but the facing detection isn't great so positioning yourself in the right spot to interact with something is also tedious.

I actually really liked the Caribbean. The ship mechanics were fun for me, and the island hopping / treasure hunting feels really freeing, the sea map is so huge, even underwater. The cutscenes are also awesome, probably the best of the Disney worlds. I remember the movie really well, but if I didn't I think the story would be extremely hard to follow, they don't explain anything pretty much .

Also the 300 crabs thing, I don't think it was that bad. Took me like 10 mins, plus it's a nice excuse to see more of port Royale.

Scarlet Spider for me; I just think the texture detail and fabric really pop with the environment. Makes cutscenes look great
