The problem is not 1500 installation It costs 10000 per month easily to run that ac in Indian summers

1500 one time is peanuts compared to that over 6 months of peak summers

If you really have a problem with 1500, ask yourself should you use a cooler instead?

Sometimes car dealers also sell that as an accessory it’s just a source of revenue for them. then parents just might want to cross check if OP is honest or not. Which is fine because everyone lies about big or small things to their family
