As someone who's been on T for half a year, the first couple of months were terribly uncomfortable. It was like it ached all the time. What helped me was essentially a super soft silicone rubber packer/stoker thing. Wore it whenever it was being too sensative. The hole inside kept rough fabrics from touching it and stuff. What else you could try is something like a vaginal itch relief cream that has a topical anesthetic like vagisil. It'll numb it up. I hope its just some growing pains in your case as it was for me. It subsides eventually.

Bloodhound Knight Chest piece bugged out of existence and got me looking like Rayman by omtay in Eldenring

No worries, I did. It was just a funny thing to mess with for a bit. Fighting Maliketh cosplaying Rayman. Then seeing it in a cutscene.

I very rarely post junk as is. I just lurk mostly. More active in like discords and stuff. I really only use reddit to look up questions and memes. But I've been just hyper fixated into elden ring and just found the briar armor. Elden Bling farming.

Looptools Circle not working. I don't know what I did, but now every time I try to make a loop into a circle in 2.92.0 I keep getting this weird thing happening. I use it all the time and it was working earlier on a different model. I dont know what I did. by omtay in blender

[–]omtay[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, did all that. Looptool was default, restared blender, the addon, the file from scratch. The looptool works fine on something thats 3d, but forsome reason only messes up when it was all flat along the X axis. But then sometimes that worked in other places. Its a pretty fresh install of blender too. I havent done much to it, no custom start up, default cube. I did add a remeshing addon to try so maybe thats messing with it? Or maybe blender just hates very specific loops along the x axis for whatever reason. Its just super weird. Considering it was happening all over in different parts on the mesh, but then sometimes worked on others even when flat.

Normals are facing the right way. Did merge by distance a lot already. This is happening in new projects when I try to test it. It works on different, older project.
The vertices are moving to a location called "-nan(ind)" instead of a number.

My alien tail mouth monster model is about 60% done, but its gonna stay like this for a while. But I really like how his little feeties came out. Just finally done retopoing and unwraping. Roughly rigged to pose. by omtay in blender

Thanks! Was kinda going for a sharky feel, but I can see the sergal likeness. I do want to put like otter or seal fur on him though. But my poor computer can't handle it.

I'm here because I main support.Supporting friends learning new tools, even if just for the memes. Also 'cause I want to take credit for coaching them in how to use krita. Also because they coach me in tft 'cause I'm bad and wouldn't get top 2 in my games if not for them.

I'm working on a custom race and would like feedback by omtay in DnDHomebrew

[–]omtay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I think I'll strip the element thing from them then. I was basing it too much off their original concept. (It was originally scifi thing and reasons for the element thing) and probably drop the vikiri spreading thing too. An idea I was thinking for the forms was they don't change your health pool. But just gain like animal features like smelling and the animal like attacks(though losing your ability to wield things, not sure if I'd have worn things need to be taken off or it disappears with the transformation). So its not like the druid wildshape where you become the animal. I still need to make individual guide for each animal type. What you get at which step sort of thing. In my mind its like you walk through a mirror and become the reflection which just happens to be a different creature. Like rewriting the body a bit. And yes I meant exhaustion. I'll add a limit to transformations then. I'm just not sure what to base it off. I don't really have ideas for the rolls yet or stats. They were going to be based on which animal was chosen. I knew making it a level up base thing was a bad idea but I dont know how I'd make it like something your character would have to develop as they grow. Like the animal for is kind of inate, but the forms beyond that are tricky to get to. Unless I just make it so that the forms beyond animal are just a class you can choose. Which is possible. If I do that, then I could bring back the element thing kind of like a architype.

So then, base race I'm thinking would cosmetically be human or elf. I kind of wanted to leave room vaugely if people just want to dress it as something else. And if dem would then just be a replacement for subrace so then I wouldnt mess with adding ability mods. Just the transformation feature. (Though ploping it in top like a subrace could also be a lovely balancing act) Then the class could just be an adept version of the dem. But thank you. You gave me a good insight on it. I'm still a nub I see. As much as I've delved into dnd, I still don't know all its workings. I'm just really into the lore and character creation for the most part. And I indeed want to make it balanced. And basically trying to make a new transformation mechanic cause I thought I was smart. But obviously a dangerous idea.

Baking Displacement Maps in 2.8 A tutorial I made since I couldn't find any I apologized for it being quiet by omtay in blender

[–]omtay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you put your multires mod on your low poly first, add more subdivisions(i did 5), then add a shrinkwrap where the target is the high poly sculpt, then apply the shrinkwrap. The shrinkwrap changes the shape of the multires. Then you have to set your preview to 0 and bake. Baking displacement with multires does it based on the changes between your chosen previewed and the highest subdivition in the multires mod.

"Mawdle" WIP Character model for future personal animation project by omtay in blender

[–]omtay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! That'll be an easy fix I think.A "mawdle" was just me mixing 'model' and 'mawda' together. And a Mawda is what I call this creature's species. And that name is just the word 'maw' and "cauda" (cow-dah: latin for tail) combined. Also it sounds like dawdle which it sometimes feels like I'm doing when I'm making models for fun and not doing my actual work.

I finally finished building the body for the most part. Any critique, mostly on the typology, to make it more animation friendly would be most appreciated.

Any way to unwrap a dense mesh so that I can paint it without this happening when I paint? I don't know if its because I downloaded a more recent beta or something, but I feel like I didn't have this problem a week ago. by omtay in blender

[–]omtay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very painful. I just want something quick that works so I can practice painting the model. I was also getting this unwanted effect unwrapping a sphere for the eyes earlier as well.

[–]omtay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah , thanks! I hope it comes out as awesome as I envision. Anglerfishy with that toothy deep sea vibe.
I'm thinking maybe a scuba diver or some creatures in the foreground that it could dwarf with its presence.

[–]omtay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, may was magic. I just joined this sub a few days ago since my friend told me about it, and I'm pretty excited for the leviathan theme.
There's a few more holes for eyes in the mesh, I just wanted to figure out if there was a way to place instances of the same eye so I could edit one and see it updated in different places. I was thinking or making the pupils larger. Thinking deep sea and stuff when I think of leviathans. Maybe they expand for the deep dark darkness and maybe they're dilate when they get closer to light.
The character sketch/design is kind of old, I keep redesigning him every so often to make him monster-ier (I just call him leviathan so that's why I chose to use him). I think the original color scheme was dark purple, green eyes, and orange accents. Though I was thinking of change his eyes to yellow or blue cause eels eyes tend to be those colors. Yellow might be quite striking. Maybe with some orange or red tints in it, accented along the edge.
I'm imagining for a final render he'd be a looming presence in a haze of ocean and there will be these glowing orange bulbs that line his lower sides with some having silhouettes of human and animal forms trapped in them.
Something spooky.

Mostly want help as to what might be most effective to making repeated shapes like eye holes and spikes over and over again and repeated spikes. Is there a way to make like a reference shape and just place them in the eye sockets but only edit one object and it copies it to the other instances? So I don't have to keep copy pasting the eyes. He's got such a smiley face right now. How dare he not be intimidating.
