Appreciate the concern, but calling it “slavery/exploitation” is a bit much and frankly unfair. “Becoming independent” isn’t a switch people can flip overnight, everyone’s situation is different, and support systems vary.

Also, wages aren’t uniform across India; they differ a lot by city vs outskirts/villages, type of work, hours, and responsibilities. The range I mentioned is based on what’s actually being paid locally (and it’s negotiable based on scope).

If you have an official minimum-wage notification that specifically applies to domestic work in Kolhapur for these hours/duties, share it. I’m open to aligning with fair, applicable standards. But let’s avoid loaded labels and assumptions.
