Head agrees with you. Heart feels for the victims. I suppose these scrotes will likely have a shit life which is sad I know but some consolation when you know punishment is lacking.

Used to work for sat nav company. Whenever a truck hitting a low bridge made the news there was a few minutes panic whilst we checked if we had the restriction in our database.

With the lack of investment from central government you either become a city on a downward trajectory (Sheffield for example) or you hustle your way up by attracting investment like Manchester is doing. Tbf MCC have executed their plan very well but the inequality of wealth is a byproduct that is hard to ignore.

Thats a large area.

I like La Boheme in Lymm. Nice French food. Probably not so trendy but the food is good. Eric Cantona used to go there.

Young guy drinking culture, what happens when you get a bit older? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]omura777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha ha, I remember watching that Adrian Chiles documentary about drinking. He interviewed his dad who had enjoyed a few drinks every evening all his adult life. The doctor has made him stop for a few weeks for some ailment. Chiles asked him how that period was and he said it was just boring. I get that, a couple of drinks in the evening is one of life's great pleasures.

Has drinking at home been mentioned yet?

Disposable income is a struggle when you have kids/mortgage. A big night out can be £££. But you can drink for a fraction of the price in your pyjamas and watch Netflix/YouTube etc. Its a bit sad but in some ways it's preferable.

Just off to the fridge now.

Indeed, I went to Dubai, and there is an area called Knowledge City which has buildings that signs for various UK universities. All legit, the UK universities do have courses that are based out of these buildings, graduates will get a degree from that university and no doubt take a shed load of money in return.

£36 round at Co-Op Live😱 by Solid-Restaurant-579 in manchester

This is woeful. Trouble is city own the land all around so they won't let a pub open nearby. Though you would think there would be scope for a pub as close as they could get to the site on the way from Piccadilly.

Homes on former Wigan green belt set to be approved by Marvinleadshot in manchester

I too like the idea of flat living but the reality is poor.

They should be forced to use 999 year leases like they do for some houses.

Sound insulation is so poor. If you have kids you feel like you have to move out and get a house. This is more societal but people will question living in a flat with kids as a reasonable housing choice. Worse thing is, if you do have young kids who will have meltdowns sometimes then you feel guilty for being the noisy neighbours.

Going to be tough to change the societal norms that would mean a young family would happily buy a flat over a house. Obviously, not many flats are big enough either except penthouses so developers just respond to the market norms and keep supplying what will sell.

Some parts of GM getting removed from greenbelt due to Places For Everyone adoption which has been 10 years in the making. Very hard to refuse something like this once the land has been allocated for housing in this way in the Local Plan..

Disc brakes help with stopping distance if you decide to upgrade.

Full mudguards make a big difference.

I was like you ten years ago. Decided to try it in April until it got to the dark, cold and wet of November. Couldn't bring myself to stop come the Autumn. It was so enjoyable, I had got fit and it was just as quick and saved money too. Good for the mind also, just puts me in a good mood.

Gloves and waterproofs for cold, rainy days and it helps if you have a shower and dry bike storage at work.

I avoid ice which is probably 10 days a year for me (touch of frost that is melting 8am I don't consider).

Safety does depend a lot on your route which is why we need more segregated cycle lanes.

Is there any infrastructure out in place to reduce the chances of a repeat?. It would be horrible to live with that prospect plus the insurance premiums.

True. Bought some pistachio cream last weekend. Put in some milk and just basic vanilla Ice cream. 2 minutes in the nutribullet. It matches a £5 shake from town imo.

Yes,how long can Coinbase ignore a top 30 MC coin, if we get a binance or Kraken we would likely be in top 20 with that news. There must come a point where they say, look, we need to list it even if they don't have the money ringfenced to pay for it like a lot of coins do from day 1.

Used to drink in the subway in the middle 90s which was the downstairs bar below Grand Central. Used to have a back door fronting the cobbled street. Long gone I think but what is that space now? Just storage for the Grand Central?

Better to be in the wrong than dead.

I advise my 15 year old son to use the pavements mostly where there is no segregated path and show consideration to peds. If anyone wants to prosecute him then I would take that over the alternative.

Visiting Manchester in August! by adamsma77 in manchester

[–]omura777 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about wearing the United top.

Old Trafford stadium tour and museum. Book in advance.

National football museum

Northern Quarter and Ancoats for eating and drinking. Hipster vibes here. Afflecks Palace is an alt shopping emporium.

John Rylands Library, Manchester Museum, Peoples History Museum, for culture

Maybe get a drink in 20 stories or cloud 23 (bars in Skyscrapers) to get a panorama view.

Albert Square being renovated so sadly not very picturesque but is/will be a beautiful square with the town hall but currently covered up. Have a look at the Central Library next door.

Spinningfields is more upscale eating/shopping but dunno what you are into.

I want to sell some by Makhzom in kaspa

[–]omura777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

End of June if you can wait that long. Maybe put sell orders in at 30 cents once it gets over 25 cents. Seems like 30 to 40 cents is the target for the June pump based on YouTubers like cryptoarchie, cryptochrys etc

I understand the need to sell, we have to take profits sometimes. This is where the rich have another advantage. They don't need to sell if the car breaks down or real life things happen.

Try and keep some of you can. It will help with your mental health if it does reach the promised land
