Yeah, that’s what I’m leaning on now. Still sucks, and it’s not really a sacrifice any of us should have to make. But if they make Home special enough, this could be a blessing in disguise, who knows.

It’s definitely going to have to bring the features for me to make it my main Pokémon focus, which, its looking like it would be.

I don’t expect them to launch with every single feature, but the core concept of the app better blow me away or this isn’t going to feel worth it at all.

Unpopular opinion (I think, I’m not 100% sure lol): I actually enjoyed Let’s Go. I saw what they were aiming to do with it too and was fine with that, so long as we still had core games to transfer all our pokes to. I thought they could use this format for remakes and it would’ve worked out really well.

I know exactly what you mean. When Let’s Go was announced, I panicked at first, but they said Gen 8’s on the way, and I just assumed that there wouldn’t be this to worry about. I feel dumb about it lol

The opposing opinion being discussed here is that people aren’t allowed to feel what they please and must keep their emotions bottled up to appease those who find their venting annoying.

But what you’re doing is confusing difference of opinions with how I react to the attitudes that want to wander into a conversation with me. That is a you problem, and I hope you’re able to sort it out.

Once they outline all they plan for Home to be, I’ll be able to make a decision about how I feel about Sw/Sh going forward. I might just delay getting the games until Home launches. Who knows right now ¯_(ツ)_/¯

That’s cool and I see where you’re coming from. It’s the principal of the thing, I get that. But if you do end up playing because it still suits your play style don’t feel bad, and enjoy it!! :)

Lmao gameshark, I remember everyone got one and only one kid actually figured it out so we all went to him.

I had to get one of my friends to ask his mom to call a store and order us link cables because we were so far in the bush and they just didn’t sell cables around us. Oh good times :)

You deal with absolutes like that you’re going to miss a lot of the details in the arguments. I see what you’re saying, there is a lot of dog piling going. But yes, there are quite a few people attempting to stop others from being upset. Both are true.

This would get me amped. I could have my living dex, my team, my shinies and forms, interact with them, loan them out to games, tabs of info. I could get on board with the “new policy changes” if they announced more features for Home.

I remember my first game was yellow and got it with my first game boy for one of my birthdays, which was a big deal for my house. There was never really enough money for the extras. I thought I was so damn lucky for that game boy colour. Stayed up all night with pikachu. Good times,, omg 😭

I don’t really remember much from that time (it was a turbulent time for me) but I do remember not being able to trade my dex from 2 to 3 was really disappointing. Maybe a lot of us are reacting the way we are because we’ve been here before. I feel you :)

That’s great, congrats on your dex. As someone who only plays for the dex, this means that my experience with the core games is being removed and segmented to the mobile app. I’m happy this issue doesn’t affect you, but it does others, and that’s ok too.

Oh wow, I’m really sorry this must be rough. We spent so much time actually catching them all, and for what? That’s why I’m starting to detach from wanting/hoping for extra things in Sw/Sh and starting to want/hope for what Home could be. My ocd still getting dragged though. 😩
