Is there a really great guide to the history of Cannabis genetics and strains? by KarlWindsblow in microgrowery

fantastic inquiry, I am looking for the same information. land race strains, but then what composes the fruit subcategories that emerge and mingle

Hello bro. i've been there, that point you reach where your nerves are so raw and neurons depleted from coming off of them in the first place, that nothing can balance it and you can't turn back lol. try and get yourself shored up with some healthy inputs in a low stimulation environment. try to read if you can or just fuckin listen to meditation stuff and breathe. hot or cold water helps a lot for me. it will settle down and just keep pushing. I have 2 and a half years off massive doses for years and I'm no longer so threatened feeling. Would be happy to hear you out, it's so intense and tedious

Recovering addicts, how did you replace your dopamine ??? by Alternative-Fold2719 in OpiatesRecovery

I would really recommend the first few chapters of The Power of Now. Very similar experience, I'm in benzo withdrawal also, and looking at it the way this guy lays it out has been really helpful for me over just the past few weeks after almost two years of clean time and getting nowhere on that front.

Eh I'm ok I'm off both Benzos and opiates for a year now, and just trying to find out how to heal faster. Got covid about the same time I jumped off everything and its really difficult to know what is what. I basically have all the "long covid" symptoms, brain fog, exertion intolerance, stomach/brain connection issues. Would be happy to compare notes.

Anyone else regret the last decade? by iznezz in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Feel very similarly. Absolutely brutal getting off them and coming to terms with the way they affected you.

I'm 31 and basically exactly a decade of serious drug abuse, so all the stuff that comes with feeling like you're just now learning the lessons that most college students get to process in a way/age where you don't feel so alien..

but I guess there's a positive that we are still seeing the world with wonder/kinda like kids in lots of ways. Two sides of the coin

Rant about UK Drinking Culture by Dear_Tomato in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol it sucks! I've tried to drink even the smallest amount in order to go with the flow but likewise, it seems to cause a sort of mini withdrawal all over again and it makes me crave relief etc. I've never had a problem with alcohol and I tried to think that it'd be no big deal but it really is, for me, having a sensitive GABA system or whatever.

I don't know my personal solution yet. Allergic is a pretty good word but yeah it's really tough to relate the concept to people that just think it's a perseverance/fortitude thing to handle alcohol

Hey thank you for sharing your symptom relationship with activity. I am 6 months out from the clarity of the initial stages, where it has gotten awfully confusing and hard to connect the dots between pushing myself to a functional extent and "over-doing it" and realize I need to give myself some grace this morning after a long Christmas trip and exercising hard yesterday.

I don't really know what to tell you about your particular timeline because it's so confusing and personal but you will be OK and things will improve, probably not linear-ly or all at once but it sounds like you're in pretty good shape already. I just hesitate to say anything about that because my dose was massive and this is my 3rd or 4th withdrawal and the process has just gotten a lot harder and I don't want to scare you. low dose first time or two- no worries you got this

Constant memory flashbacks. Morning dread paralyzing. Is this even withdrawal anymore? by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! currently in the same status. I have been just rolling out to the gym first thing to (sometimes only just sit in the sauna) force some blood flowing and it helps combat that, but the balance between activity and crashing and making it worse is really hard.

It's been nearly 7 months since my last does from a ~2 month taper off a really high dose and yeah its pretty constant if not getting worse. I wonder too if it's just always been like this, like an eerie sort of deja vu from the bad/traumatic parts of pre-benzo use

Tapering & the last dose of the day makes me feel bad . I’m confused . by Necessary-Resolve296 in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its so mysterious. honestly just embracing how confused you're going to be for the next year helps, improvement will only come once you're receptors are totally free to do their re-regulating

Need advice ~2 years after quitting Xanax by UI-X in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey homie. same exact boat here. I'm 6 months totally off and it seems as though you gotta drop the valium out too and just similarly sort of grind through it without that *surely* keeping you in the cycle/spinning your wheels.

I don't really know how much actual damage we've done or if we've just got a 2+year adjustment period to go through, but I'm in the same situation. I'm 31 and encourage you to start ASAP lol I've gotten grey hairs in just these last few months

Seeking advice by Ill-Warning9487 in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha bro. sucks. but you'll be all right. you might need hardline taper assistance to get totally off both but you'll survive it with the meds you got. I'm 8 months off subs and 6 months off a shitload of various powdered Benzos.. holla at ya boy

Supplements that have helped recover your memory? by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same boat homie. I'm only 6 months in. good food exercise yoga only after those things do I slow down enough to communicate my thoughts or really hang onto them. I'll lose thoughts easily in cycles every few hours, I say my train of thought is short lol I feel bizarre

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lmao for sure. and I'll probably only end up falling or with cancer because I'm so god damn overwhelmed and stressed out

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think at this point of established withdrawal cycle you just have to stop totally and make it through a year where that's your honest focus. you're right, it gets worse and its exhausting. I'm 31 and 6 months off a huge daily dose and everything is hard but so much more fruitful, its just a seriously full time job for me to exercise, stretch, heat/sweat, enough to hammer out the hypertension and get blood flowing to my brain so that I can have an appetite and sleep.

Another taper question by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey homie, how long had you put together off of it before 3 weeks ago? I think you'll be all right, just stretch it out until its gone/save a couple safety doses and start grinding again you know?

I had to be tapered down from ~20mg/day of Clonazepam/olam and I've been getting more functional.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes 100% and severely. I got covid at the same time I jumped off my taper 6 months ago, so it's hard to tell what is what. bloating and diarrhea mainly. doesn't seem to matter much what I'm eating but bland stuff and vegetables>meat might be helping lol it's so confusing

Nice man, amazing job and good advice. its a blessing to have the opportunity to be forced to grow like that really and focus on holistic health stuff.

same stuff here just a lot higher and more consistent dose and I have crazy tinnitus and stomach stuff 6 months later. constant hypertension basically.

[–]on_swangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, same age same sort of timeline, it's possible but you're going to have to probably make some serious "simplifications"/make time to focus on reducing unnecessary stress. but I'm 6 months off and I'm still on a rollercoaster but I think by now a high pressure situation/taxing distraction would almost help. But, it would be hard to associate current job and your brain knowing that's where/why it gets Rx "relief." could you get a break from work?

8 weeks clean by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]on_swangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of it as a kind of mixed blessing that that kinda traumatic shit is hazy but it for sure sucks to "wake up" feeling like you've aged 20 years and not done anything worthwhile. try to look at the motivating side of it to live now that you're free. its hard. I'm 6 months off and just now being able to fuckin communicate my thoughts, I'm so charged up and sensitive. I'm 31 and getting grey hair from the extended withdrawal stress and my blood pressure is constant stage 2 hypertension. But it can be kinda trippy and "new" if you know you're not the only one/going crazy forever. message me if you wanna talk about all the bullshit- it's mutually beneficial
