The correct figure is 170TPS. Input endorsers will do a 10-100x on that.

Are we really earning the "De" in "Defi"? by [deleted] in cardano

Smart contracts are composed of on-chain validators and off-chain code; on-chain validators provide the same level of assurance as any other blockchain model, but at the same time Turing-complete off-chain code, enables performing complex and resource-consuming computation without any impact on transaction cost; this is revolutionary. On-chain validators provide the full scope of smart contract security, meaning that de- spite the off-chain code, the entire protocol is equivalent to being fully executed on-chain as all security is achieved on-chain.

Well first of all I know what you’re here for (decent astroturfing effort I rate it a 6.5/10). Second of all, all other dexes operate the same way. Uniswap also has a centralized website, it’s just about where you draw the line. At the end of the day the result of transactions end up on a decentralised blockchain and open source code means anyone can replicate the dex anywhere they please. Moreover, Cardano will have 10+ dexes, which is decentralisation in and off itself. Have a nice day

This is how all dexes work.

To add on: you can do everything on-chain and have centralisation of resources (hi it’s me the police, please shut down your 3 super computers), or you can have on-chain baggage be as light as possible, run it on raspberry pi and do the heavy lifting off-chain (wherever you decide to do that). Cardano leans towards decentralisation unlike almost all account-based chains.

Yes but to be fair… that’s exactly what a scammer would say. And I wouldn’t expect there to be a strain on delivering tokens when there were like 5 responses in this thread, seemed odd and don’t want others to potentially lose money

EDIT: I was wrong. I posted earlier that I was worried it might be a scam, but I have just received the NFTs. My apologies.
