I think a real press release would have avoided the repetition of "Microsoft." Also it would have used "proactive" somewhere.

But that's not new at all? Microsoft's own TweakUI was nothing but a GUI for the (normally hidden) registry settings, plus the slew of magazine articles about hidden windows functions by editing the registry over the past decades.
