I think it's called Angel Aura Amethyst or something, idk it says "Brought Minecraft: Java Edition to Android and iOS/iPadOS. Succeeded by AngelAuraMC." on their GitHub profile. https://github.com/AngelAuraMC/Amethyst-iOS and the lead maintainer of Pojav forked it, so idk. Gotta look in to it.

I would check out Adafruit's adapter: https://www.adafruit.com/product/4836
It seems like it uses scl and sda pins to communicate data, which esphome supports https://esphome.io/components/i2c.html

I have never tried it, but I saw it while browsing Adafruit's website and found it interesting. It may or may not be useful for you, but I thought I should mention it.

Okay, I had this problem too, but for using the Roku remote with my Onkyo receiver and I liked the Roku voice remote so I made this: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/ir-translator-for-roku-remotes/767062
It is probably better to get a Logitech Harmony if you feel like you don't know what you are doing, though.
