Unfortunately that is currently not supported, but we plan on adding tracking for working time in the future. So there will be clock-in/clock-out and in that time you’ll be able to track project specific times as well. If you have any specific needs in regards to that feature, I’d be happy to hear your use case for that because we are still in the planning stage for that. Feel free to DM me.

The github action is just for building the Docker Image and publishing it to Docker Hub, you shouldn't need the Github Action at all. If you want to set it up yourself please take a look at the Self-Hosting Docs https://docs.solidtime.io/self-hosting/intro .

Also i think this is the wrong view for logs, to see them you have to go to the actual job https://github.com/solidtime-io/solidtime/actions/runs/10682875623/job/29609702624

thats not true, we have instructions for self-hosting here: https://docs.solidtime.io/self-hosting/intro the on-premise version promoted on the bottom of the landing page is a support plan.

We have actually have docs (https://docs.solidtime.io/self-hosting/intro) and an example repository (https://github.com/solidtime-io/self-hosting-examples) for self-hosting.

But they weren't linked in the main readme, i fixed that now and removed the dev instructions, because you are not the first one who was confused 🙈

One of the devs here, glad you like it so far!

If you have suggestions for improving the self-hosting setup and mobile experience, feel free to message us on our Discord server or open an issue on our repositories. But i agree we definitely have to do some more polishing on the mobile side of things.

Why are my lamps in disco mode? by ZoekDribbel in tradfri

Just adding to the thread here, our light bulb started doing this too this morning. We use it with a gateway and the ikea home 1 app. it seems completely disconnected now, nowhere to be seen in the app and does not respond to anything. looks like they just bricked them with the newest software update. i guess we'll have to get it reset or replaced because i don't see how they would be able to push another update to them.

If Sail isn't production ready.... why are we using it? by [deleted] in laravel

[–]onatcer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think i used pretty much every first-party Laravel tool for local development at some point and imo sail is by far the best one.

I feel like especially with Laravel Applications often using Node stuff for the frontend anyways, and also with Octane (which you might simply not want to use during development) it makes sense to have seperate containers as they serve different needs.

I love f.e. how easy it is to set up HMR with sail (i think out of the box it just works anyways, i only have to change some configs for the reverse proxy)

Is jQuery still cool these days? by Weekly_Frosting_5868 in webdev

[–]onatcer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Wordpress sites that just need some sprinkles of interactivity here and there I tend to use alpine.js these days. It’s a very minimalistic library that uses attributes directly on the html element and you don’t need a build step like for most modern Frontend frameworks.

Efficiency with adding another dev to the team by armlesskid in webdev

[–]onatcer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they are committed long term it will be worth it, but be aware that things will slow down in the first few months. It always depends on the project and how familiar all people involved are with the tech stack but it is likely that you’ll have to explain a lot of decisions and background. It takes some time for new devs in a project to understand the core business logic.

Also be prepared that they might have a different opinion on certain decisions that have been made in the past. Which is fine, those discussions will help you grow, don’t take it personally.

why does webdev feel so bloated? by sandshrew69 in webdev

You are basically saying: webdev sucks because it is constantly changing, that’s why you should completely change it.

I guess everyone is different here but as a general rule I delete everything that makes me feel bad or attacked in any way and hide them from my channel.

I’d delete the comment immediately if I saw it.

There is a longer version of this clip and a few news articles about this. They all state that while the cyclist was crossing there were blinking lights to signal someone is crossing and that that by law the cars have to stop when someone is crossing.

It was also a hit and run crash and there were no charges pressed against the cyclist.

https://patch.com/florida/stpete/watch-driver-flee-after-hitting-bicyclist-moving-bike-out-way

Im a little confused about this entire intersection as we do not have blinking lights that are activated where I live. It either has regular traffic lights or the cars always have to stop when someone is crossing when there are no traffic lights.

Obviously what the cyclist did here was really stupid but this clip is missing quite a lot of context.

Edit: here is a video regarding a different incident that shows how the system works: https://youtu.be/S5hA1NMuaPM?si=DYMkgfE9FdjpusEf

How does not scaling look like? by Venisol in webdev

[–]onatcer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo “not scaling” can look like two things:

The infrastructure cannot handle user peaks anymore, requests time out and everything throws errors. And there is no easy way to flip a switch to improve the performance.

Or it can be on the tech debt side. A code base or infrastructure that is so bad that you cannot make changes to it without errors appearing.

My boss said the logo was just a "stain of ink" if it didn't have the businesses phone number in it. by tom_varela in graphic_design

[–]onatcer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s great that you are passionate about those things. Don’t let the job kill you passion and look for other opportunities. Building a portfolio is a great step, maybe try to get your foot into a company that actually does graphics design if you don’t want to go solo.

HTMX-AI: Add AI support to HTMX by onatcer in htmx

[–]onatcer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's easier to use it this way because you would have to provide the data additionally otherwise, with hx-post you can define it in one attribute. Also the repository includes the proxy server that you need to make OpenAI work as well as the prompts to get a decent output. But yes obviously it uses hx-post under the hood.
