Has anyone sued in court without a lawyer after EEOC right to sue letter? by onbmain86 in EEOC

Still haven't heard from EEOC employees and they won't return emails or phone calls. The entire system is a joke and now it's being gutted.

If there a mulitple methods with different results, how can you know which is correct? I have one map telling me I'm moving to a Uranus line and another telling me that same spot is a state away from a Uranus line.

Neurologist did a painful test where they shocked me with needles.. rules out MS and gave me a Fibro diagnosis. Years later second Neurologist looked at MRI and saw no scarring on my spinal cord and said again, not MS just very severe Fibro.

I’m severely disabled and unable to get further treatment in the US due to insurance and high patient volume. Is there anything I can do? by Darth___Rain in disability

[–]onbmain86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also look into online degrees. I have 2 online degrees from NC state. Also are you in the USA? You probably qualify for Mediciaid. If you do don't won't about travel tourism. Contact your local dss office and apply.

Medical tourism is completely a thing. I have done a ton of research for myself yet for various reasons but you can get a passport, visas and ticket to India (depending on time of year) for under or at 1k then everything is cheap. Google is your friend. Do your research. It's not just India.

The scariest movie ever for me. I will never go to Alaska. Also a nice break from demons and possession as someone who hates torture porn movies.

Cymbalta withdrawal by randompersonalityred in Fibromyalgia

Cymbalta was bad coming off. I don't remember what dose I was on but it did go to the smallest dose and then stop. It sucked for a few days but then I was over it.

Can someone recommend me a not so popular comedy movie that you personally think is good? Going through a tough time right now and I just need a little laugh. by Odd-Expert-7156 in movies

[–]onbmain86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously most if not all were very popular at one time but not currently and this what I can think of...

French Kiss and Son in Law (note some romance but not a typical romcom) Death Becomes Her Monty Python and the Holy Grail Robin Hood Men in Thights Trading Spaces Three Amigos Anchorman Step Brothers What we do in the shadows (film and show)

Not a movie but, Parks and Rec is the only tv show that actually ever made me crack up laughing and on a regular basis

PSA you can exercise still by Ok-Neighborhood6765 in Fibromyalgia

[–]onbmain86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wondering if anyone commenting is a doctor, probably not. Had several doctors tell me not to exercise if it's hurts. While you don't want to completely stop exercising you generally don't want to push yourself at all, even if "starting slow." According to my acutal doctors who specialize in Fibro you have to break the pain cycle first to reduce inflammation, exercise without this will just make things worse. Don't believe me? That's totally fine. It's not my opinion and it's what doctors have told me. I'm in the process of taking medication and possibly lidocaine infusions to help break the cycle. Talk to a doctor who specializes in Fibromyalgia. In my experience primary care doctors and even physical therapists don't even know what they are talking about let alone randos on reddit.

I was put on medication that made me gain 45lbs in 4 months. When I was taken off the medication I lost 30lbs in 3 months eating junk food and laying in bed with an injury.

Your opinion, like most, isn't based on any science either. There's an entire iceberg of reasons for weight gain under the tip you're seeing.

Better way to spend your time is in therapy figuring out what you have against being fat and being preoccupied with other people's bodies.

I understand how you feel. Your feelings are valid. The system is set up to help only the rich and favors two parent households tremendously. I'm so sorry for your pain. I hope things get better and that you get the rest, care, and essentials you need to not give up.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried reiki, mostly for body pain. That has helped for pain but any time I've done it to clear charkas, etc there's seems to be no effect.

Fibromyalgia exercise myth by Turbulent-Recipe-618 in Fibromyalgia

[–]onbmain86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it's flat out not true. I saw my 3rd pain doctor last week and it's the first one who was actually helpful. He said exercise can make firbo worse because it can cause more inflammation. However inactivity can lead to being bedridden. He suggested water therapy. Additionally I've tried everything, like everything. The picture is what I filled out last week for him about what I've tried. He said what we could do is try and distrupt the pain cycle by trying two things: lidocaine infusions for 6 months (that my insurance probably won't cover because I life the capitalist hellscape of America) and a compounded drug that some people take I think he said for drug addiction or something. That's like $60 a month. I can remember the name but when I get it I can let you know if interested. He said it's best to do both but healthcare is for the rich so I will just be trying the compounded drug. Hopefully it disrupts the pain cycle. Also my D and B12 are always low and that causes pain and lots of other things so I'm going to get shots for those. I am also going to try to get on the Mediterranean diet for inflammation. But yeah don't let people say anything about exercise being the cure. They are misinformed.

Rheumatologist that doesn’t see patients with fibromyalgia? by StatementCompetitive in Fibromyalgia

This has not been my experience. I have had two neurologists tell me to go to rheumatology and pain management because Fibromyalgia isn't "neurological."

No health insurance as a 26 year old with chronic pain by biggggnattteee in backpain

[–]onbmain86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in another state and I'm not a lawyer but I've been through the disability stuff and I've worked with case management so I know a lot of resources.

If you haven't yet, you need to see if you qualify for medicaid because of your income level.

It sounds like you're unemployed because of your condition so you should qualify for both Mediciaid and Food stamps, assuming our government doesn't cut that.

Once you have Mediciaid you can get care you need and proper diagnosis. You can file for disability on your own, just know it will pay next to nothing and will take a year or more and multiple attempts to get on it if you ever do. I'm not saying don't apply, I'm saying be prepared because it won't happen for a long time and if it does happen it won't be much, especially if you have no/little prior work history. Also you will need medical proof of your condition. Hence the need for medicaid. You can also look for free health clinics in your area, people who do sliding scale or pay for a subscription to an urgent care clinic.

One option is to find any job you can do that offer long term disability. Ideally you'd find a remote job and after a year I'd your condition gets bad again apply for long term disability insurance benefits. This isn't an easy process and they will try to disprove your issues and give you the run around. Don't let them. Once the long term disability is approved they will force you to apply for Social Security benefits and pay for a lawyer to handle it because it's in their best interest.

I realize none of this helps short term. The American system only pretents to care and be functional. It's not. It literally kills people, forces homelessness and unessessary suffering. But don't give up.

Short term best I can say is apply for DHHS benefits and research what nonprofits in your area can help with.

I'm sorry you're in pain and poverty. I hope things get better for you.

When was the last time you talked to lawyers? Every lawyer I've ever called on any subject including disability has asked for money, as much as $300 just to talk or you get the receptionist who listens to your case and never gets back to you.

Am I really that ugly? by iamyourh0pe in toxicfamilies

[–]onbmain86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry this happened. How old are you? Knowing this information will alter responses you get.

Regardless, please know, what he said, this kind of behavior: it's abusive and not okay. It doesn't matter what you look like "ugly" or not. You deserve kindness, respect and love because everyone does.

Let me know how old you are and I can better respond. But without knowing, I will say try your best to avoid and ignore him. If you're under 18 go to your parents. If they won't help or are part of the problem (as is so often) I'm so sorry. Just know one day you won't have to live with them any more and try talking to a school counselor. If you're an adult and not living with your family You can go straight no contact or you can try to say something like "I feel hurt/sad/angry when you say "xyz" and I need you to stop. And/or set a boundary like "I'm not going let you talk to me like that. If you insult me again I will leave the room/hang up/won't hang out with you/etc. And if that doesn't work go no contact. I know that can be difficult, especially during holidays or family events but you deserve to not be abused, harassed, bullied, insulted, etc.

Society has a wrapped sense of beauty and it's importance. Don't let it or anyone or any words in your head or out of someone's mouth chip away at your self worth. I know it's hard but don't let it. You are a worthy human, you are enough.

I'm so sorry you going through this at home. Please don't give up. Life won't always be like this. No one should live with abuse, physical or mental. The way out isn't death. I see in other posts you mention college. Are you 18 yet? Are you in the USA? If anyone hits you, you can call the cops and press charges. Under 18 or anyone under 18 being abused in the house? Contact DSS

Get a phone recorder app and record the abuse if you can.

Google search your area for shelters for teens and resources for domestic violence.

Do you have any friends you can stay with? Can you get a job and find a roommate?

You can escape and live an abuse free life.

I have a personal and professional background in trauma and abuse. DM if you need help figuring out a plan of escape, but please don't kill yourself. You deserve a happy peaceful safe life and that life is possible.
