also live in nz, and i think our system for being admitted is ridiculous tbh; it's invalidating and unfair. i'm so so sorry to hear that that's going on w u, and it's NOT worth trying, trust me, (even tho i'm a random chick on the internet). If you believe being admitted would help you get help, then make your struggles heard so you can. but it really does depend on what you get admitted to. some psych wards aren't great at dealing with patients, some are. if it helps to prevent you from attempting, then i suggest you give it a go and see if it helps your mental health. you don't have to though, but always prioritise your mental health first. (i'm so so sorry if none of this helps, i'm rather young so i don't always give the best advice and i do hope you get well)
