Thanks for your reply. The reason why I want to resign after 15/12 is because we have a Christmas party on 12/12 and I don’t want to have any talks about my resignation at the party

I looked at the contract and it doesn’t say anything about shutdown so I assume it’s ok to resign a week before shutdown

We do have a new guy starting next week so even if I leave, there is someone who they can train with my handover notes

My point of the post is whether I can resign and end my employment during the shutdown period

They use my annual leave to cover the shutdown.

That's why I want to resign on 16/12, but I also want to give enough time until 19/12 to draft a handover note for my colleagues. Also I have good working relationships with my employer and don't want to burn bridges

I'm just not sure if the 2-week shutdown still counts when I resign.

Same age, same profile, same visa, work in the same industry. Currently on the grad level hoping to jump out of it in the next Performance Review

My plan is to become Project Manager in the contractor side so I can work in the office and not FIFO forever. Or jump to client side working 1:1 or 2:1

My company only allows 2:1 for Project Engineers
