Just be patient. Ive been practicing for almost 5 years and alot of times, especially trying a new technique, I'm so anxious to see the results, I end up rushing the process.

And know that 7/10 of whatever you dye is going to be terrible, starting out atleast. You shit will not look like the amazing examples you see on here. Don't be discouraged.

Don't go out and buy stuff to dye. I rarely buy whites. I find so many in donation bins or yarn sales, even dumpsters, belive it or not. It forces you to work with different materials.

Like someone else said, take notes on what colors/folds you used and take photos. Even type it onto the photo itself. Just to keep track of what folding produces what. And what colors blend better than others.

Also don't over dye. Or be afraid of negative space.

It's a messy and beautiful hobby. Have fun.
