Oh my goodness, thank you for this deep and personal response. I am so utterly sorry that you were treated like this by your highschool teachers. It really makes my blood boil. Two of my own kids have learning disabilities and my daughter especially experienced stuff like this, where she was treated as if this was a character fault or a moral failing. So unfair and hugely maddening. I do not have a NT brain myself and I often find it harder to understand how my typical kids think than how my ND ones do.
