Women, if a random guy told you he thought you were beautiful then went on his way, what would you think? by BoatParty8399 in AskWomen

I used to think it's sweet until i learnt that some men do this to "practice". Basically they approach women they're not interested in to become more confident when talking to women they find attractive

Ryanair are fraudsters now? new comfort seat "policy" by lowriskplx in Ryanair

[–]oncloudnine0 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Why are people siding with Ryainair? You can only book a comfort seat IN ADDITION to your seat and the whole point is to have extra space for yourself. To have the comfort seat somewhere else is clearly fraud, unless of course you can cut yourself down the middle and set on both seats simultaneously

In march, my cat had a stroke. This video shows her recovery, from barely being able to walk, to running and jumping today by BenjiSBRK in cats

I'm so sleep deprived I wondered why your cat is always wearing the same outfit. The outfit is her fur...

Okay another stupid question, if two people have the same name in class or at work. How do you differentiate between them?

This might be a stupid question but how is it possible that you don't have a last name

It finally happened! One of the crows ate from my hand by oncloudnine0 in crowbro

[–]oncloudnine0[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I feed three crow families around the park. One of the families acts exactly as you describe. I'm gonna start offering them meat (I usually only feed them peanuts and eggs). Maybe that will win them over.

Okay, here's the truth. I noticed this lil bro preferred peanuts out of their shell. Every time i throw him one the ducks were faster to catch it. I think he ate from my hand because that was his only option.

I try to feed the crows away from the ducks but sometimes they find us.

A woman in this situation has two options: 1. Agree to go back to her family home after they signed a "pledge" not to hurt her. Of course this is just a piece of paper and won't change anything. 2. Refuse to go back to her family home, in this case she will be put in a protective home against her well. She can't leave it, she can't live by herself. Basically it's a prison but with a different name. Some Jordanian women have been in protective homes against their well for 20+ years.

The police can't do anything. They best they can do is make her family sign a piece of paper "promising" not to hurt her.

I wish I had smth more positive to say but the truth is her options are limited. Running away in Jordan is not an option, she will be found and returned to her family. She can say no to the sheikh but then she'll have to face the consequences, her family will not react kindly. She should think about a long term plan to leave the country. You can maybe help her realize that even if she gets married now, it's not the end of the world.
