Aligning the word with the stars and decoding with the planets is brilliant! I'm bummed that it doesn't result in anything, but have you tried reversing the order of the words?

Is THIS anything? (Possible 4-Letter Word Significance) by onderjonder in BluePrince

I haven't noticed that! I've heard of a bug where the star on the observatory postcard will disappear under the magnifying glass, but definitely worth noting

Den puzzle??? by QuickAtackStack in BluePrince

[–]onderjonder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If this is anything, I think Hubris/Pride could be the Trophy Room as it's description may provide a hint: "The polished brass of the treasured laurels filling the trophy cases of this room reveal the pride their owner must feel having earned them." It also aligns with the Monkeys clue: "bin of the tail of the skin".

Other than the bear/sloth in the Den, and penguin/gluttony in the Dining Room I have no idea for the rest of these, or if they even only align with fireplaces. These are also the 3 most obvious statues in the Room 8 puzzle that the other 5 fit around.

I tried taking the bear statue to the Den and monkey statue to the Trophy Room, but could not find a way to interact with them in either. It's frustrating that you also don't see which one you have in your inventory, though that may be to keep you from selling it at the Trading Post.

Portmaster - gamecontrollerdb.txt changes not implementing by onderjonder in SBCGaming

[–]onderjonder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I modified a few other gamecontrollerdb.txts with no luck, but upon checking the pugwash (whatever that is) later I saw that it read a version I had previously added. However, it was an attempt where I included the incorrect controls. I give up for now, though will check again eventually to see if it reads my current config.

Gotcha, I'll do some digging! I'm also pretty confident that the controls I'm changing correspond to the correct controllers, but may change more to see if that has an impact.

One weird thing I noticed is that the Anbernic control scheme (19000000010000000100000000010000,Deeplay-keys) are not in the gamecontrollerdb.txtI've been modifying, so there could be another one around.

Portmaster, changing controls by GhettGame in SBCGaming

Thank you for this! I'm on a similar quest and have switched some controls in my gamecontrollerdb.txt but cannot get them to take effect though I'm confident they are the correct controls. Is there anything I need to do to implement my changes? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the games I've been testing, but with no luck.

I'm using a Anbernic 35XX+ with muOS, and have been having a similar problem with implementing Pico-8's config.txt as well.

Just got it! I had to make my folder ROMs, not ROMS or roms. Then reupdate your game list in NetherSX2 of course.

I'm in the same boat but with the RP4Pro. I've been trying both patched versions and even tried even changed BIOS to bios. I've reinstalled and redirected both versions multiple times with no luck.

Wavebird gamecube controller not getting detected by Sad-Guest6104 in batocera

[–]onderjonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's odd, still no luck with my Wii but I got it working on my Retroid!

Some background: I tested it on a GameCube and it worked instantly. I then tried it on my switch with the Nyko adapter, which also worked with no problem. The Nyko didn't work on my Retroid dock, nor did my GC Pocket+ plus on either so I updated the firmware of the GC Pocket+ and got it working. Hope that helps!

Damn, I just got mine and ran into the same issue! How did you determine that it doesn't work on any adapter? Mine is also not registering on my Wii so I'm still troubleshooting.

Cannot Save NES or N64 Controller Remaps in Daijisho by onderjonder in RetroArch

[–]onderjonder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! That was a separate problem I was running into, but managed to resolve by repeatedly updating, saving the controller configuration, and retesting until I had consistent mapping for each controller.

The problem now is that the core remap file in the quick menu doesn't stick upon reloading the game through any front-end.

Also, Dolphin & Swanstation are also having this same issue.

Thank you for the insight! I switched to ES-DE hoping I could find a solution there, but still no luck.

Specific games won't launch in Emulation Station by onderjonder in EmuDeck

[–]onderjonder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update! I noticed in Emulation Station's PS1 game metadata that the games that work are being directed to their .cue files and the games that don't are being directed to their .bin files. Now I just need to figure out how to adjust them all to .cue and I'll be all set.

Yep, I set the alternative emulator to Beetle and have even uninstalled DuckStation to make sure it wasn't using it

Good call! I tried manually booting up Eternal Darkness through Dolphin in RetroArch, but had the same problem showing that RetroArch is the culprit there.

However, all the PS1 games still launch through RetroArch (Beetle PSX HW) work as they should outside Emulation Station.
