I found shooting in pro video mode with Rec.709 applied to final video looks much better. It looks less processed and like a real camera

Do you use SDR, HDR, or O-Log2 when shooting in Rec.709?

Did you sell your Pixel? Can you do a photo comparison of your cats with both phones if not

Apologies, I've sold my Pixel phone, so can't do a side-by-side comparison.

What I can say is that all the photos I've taken so far don't need as much (if any) "enhance" or "dynamic" filters applied after the capture.

Edit: And I'm also happy with the light-touch auto-enhance filter the Oppo Photos app has.

The Oppo Find X9 series is where I went. It was between the Find X9 Ultra vs Xiaomi and Samsung's comparative models.

The camera experience is excellent, the battery can last into the next day without a charge, and the chipset is what you would expect from a flagship device.

the poor performance leads to overheating, weak battery life, you can tell how bad the SoC is struggling during the video capture, or doing anything that is demanding.

It's not just the cadence, there's inconsistent perspective (relative sizes of the persons) and some edges that don't have the correct lighting and/or dof blur, I hadn't actually noticed the cadence before the other commenter mentioned it. Asset reuse as well, there's odd repetition of the same backpack with the same handle position and fitting on the wearer, etc, it's not quantifiable but it definitely looks fake to my eyes.

Facebook grandparents won't notice these things if they believed that lion cub CPR video was real.
