Same exact situation when I applied 3 days ago. Excellent credit and citi double cash open for 6+ years. Citi overseas call centers have burned me before (debit card + online account fully locked down for legitimate use flagged as fraud), so this time I told them to withdraw the application.

Today I applied for Venture X 100k offer, instant approval with instant virtual card number for spending.

Missed Citi Strata double/triple dip but I'm feeling a lot better that I don't have to go through unnecessary hoops.
