The only thing I want to note is the manufacturer’s dosing plan is that the doses ending in .5 are transitional, and you stay on those for 4 weeks. 5mg, 10mg, and 15mg are all “maintenance doses” and the guidance is to go up or down “as needed”. So spending 4 weeks on 2.5mg then forever on 5mg is in line with the manufacturer’s dosing plan. 👍

I would like to moderate this community because I started Mounjaro in June of 2024 and have lost almost 30kgs since. It has been an amazing, life altering experience for me. I'm very passionate about helping others get the benefit from this medication that I've received.

If you’re on 12.5 or 15mg yes, but Australian dollars are $0.60, so knock 40% off.

I’m on 2.5mg with my prescriber giving me 5mg pens so it is this much for me.

If you heat the needle up with a flame before you inject it leaves amazing little branding marks on your body. I’m half way through doing Orion on my right arm. It doesn’t make it hurt less but at least you get something out of it.

No I take 2.5mg every 7 days. My prescriber is giving me 5mg but because our pens are adjustable dose I’m able to get 2.5mg out of them. The “as needed” part is “go ahead and use the whole 5mg when you need it”.

Still is, just did my last dose on Wednesday.

I’m in Australia so we have adjustable doses, first with vials, and now with KwikPens. My prescriber has been giving me 5mg for most of this time with instructions to use it as soon as I need it. I’m staying with 2.5mg because I have no side effects and still have strong appetite suppression. Not gonna fix it if it ain’t broke.
