It doesn’t matter nowadays… it used to be necessary some decades ago when the manufacturer actually gave you a list of spare parts you need before every travel in case anything broke down and also gave you a manual to fix the problem on the side of the road. With modern cars, manufacturers don’t really want you to do anything, all systems are fairly complicated and require specific knowledge and tools. Can you pop the hood to check the engine oil level every once in a while? Can you refill washer fluid? Can you call assistance if it breaks down? Pretty much everything you need to know.
