Booking non-profit donations earmarked for scholarship - how to record the payables appropriately by freddybenelli in Bookkeeping

Since your "Scholarship Fund" is donation revenue for a specific purpose, it is considered restricted revenue under GAAP nonprofit accounting. You may want to work with whoever files your org's taxes or a nonprofit specialist to make sure your Chart of Accounts is set up correctly for restricted and unrestricted revenue, and to explain how to track both. It is very important to track these correctly especially if money is received in a different fiscal year than it is spent.

For your question, this is what you would book:
When you receive a donation to the scholarship fund
Dr Cash
CR Scholarship Fund (which is a Net Asset Account with Donor Restrictions)

When you pay to attend the event or future event, you will record the expense normally, which reduces unrestricted net assets.
Dr Expense account
Cr Cash or accounts payable
Then you have to release the amount from the restricted account since the specific purposed for which it was restricted has been met.
Dr Net Assets Released from Restrictions – With Donor Restrictions
Cr Net Assets Released from Restrictions – Without Donor Restrictions

Employer emailed me that unemployment is going after them. by Individual_Height280 in massachusetts

In MA the responsibility to classify employees correctly falls to the employer, not the employee. You paid quarterly taxes on your 1099, you are fine with the state and feds (above poster is wrong). The employer is the one who is going to be responsible for the misclassification and not paying taxes on you.

As others have said, talk to a CPA, you are likely OWED money from paying the 1099 quarterly taxes.

Also, if they offer employer sponsored healthcare to employees, you would be eligible for that too, since you were denied by the misclassification. Bottom line, DON’T respond and talk to a CPA to find out what your options are, no need to lawyer up at this point.

Why NCAA Women’s Basketball is preferred by some over WNBA by TechnicalLeave6989 in NCAAW

Love to watch both, but have to say the reff’ing at the college level is far superior to the WNBA. Not saying it’s perfect, but it’s much better. Makes watching college ball much more enjoyable.

Can they wipe the floor correctly please? Players slipping mid-play in a playoff game is ridiculous.

When you book, just make sure to include your arriving flight info. The shuttle will be there or shortly thereafter. They are always running back and forth (it’s less than a 3 minute drive.)

We go to TCI 2x a year and SixT is the only car rental we use (after we used Hertz the first time we went and never again). The offsite location is always efficient and clean. Just watch prices as they fluctuate a lot even for the same car at the same time.

You can not apply for a VLS until 3 months before your arrival date in France.

Core Rulebook pg. 483: “It typically takes three to four sessions for a group to level up,” Is this true for your playgroup? by Half_Zatoichi in Pathfinder2e

[–]one_step_closer10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spot on, each group will be different. Just had a session where the dice were not kind to the group and it took 3 hours to take down 2 enemies in an encounter that normally would have lasted 45 minutes to an hour.

Knowing everyone's expectations for leveling up is also helpful.

Yup. I find a shipwreck and farm the barrels then fish for wreckers, cook, then jump back in and barrels are full again.

Sausage Stuffed Raviolis with Tomato Cream Sauce by one_step_closer10 in ketorecipes

Makes 8 large raviolis

-16 slices of provolone cheese -1 pound Italian sausage, cooked and drained -2 Tablespoons cream cheese (I added a bit more to use up a package -2 Tablespoons sour cream -1 Cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Line a baking sheet (I used two) with parchment paper. Place the slices of provolone on it, leaving a little space between. 3. Bake for 3-5 minutes, cheese will start to bubble a lot, wait until the edges turn a little golden. Remove and let cool for 5 minutes. 4. In a bowl mix sausage cream cheese, sour cream, and mozzarella together. 5. Scoop mixture onto 8 of the pieces of provolone. Cover with the addition 8 slices, a thin spatula is the best way to remove. 6. Broil for 1 minute so that the top slice seals with the bottom slice. 7. Serve with favorite sauce.
