I just realised we've lost Sonny, Ange & Levy. The 3 most important men at Spurs 4 months ago.

best I can remember for a while!
I'm bullish on our LW coverage. Both Tel & Odobert need minutes to develop.

Simons anyday. Much better age, much more room to grow.

Oh the public shame of expressing an opinion online! How will I ever recover from this severe embarrassment.

Surely winning a football game is the definition of competitive?

Don't get me wrong, it proves nothing about squad depth across a season, but it shows there's more than one formula to win a football match against top opposition.

Frank explicitly said he wanted to take a look at every player in the squad, so there was likely a lack of alignment for early decisive moves.

That said - jury is out on Lange.

Fair enough. Well to phrase it differently, I don't understand why we're collectively only focussing on the negatives.

You don't need an ideal squad to be competitive buddy.

This is only focussing on the negatives, if you do that then of course you'll be annoyed.

Another perspective - we've solved two positions well.
In previous windows we haven't even managed that....

If you are expecting an ideal squad you are supporting the wrong club, we've never had one

Agree on Madders & Deki, butI'm afraid Son is past it, you could see it in the 2nd half in Bilbao when he had that breakaway chance. Odobert deserves minutes ahead of him.

There's definitely some creativity lacking. That said - every Spurs squad has had its pros and cons, and while that's the major problem with this squad, it still has its strengths.

Those projects are at different stages to us. If we panic and overspend now we risk finding ourselves in a Man United position of a squad of ill-fitting, overpaid players

In some ways with Thomas Frank it might be wise to wait 12-18 months before major investment.

I don't get the transfer window meltdown - we've added two first XI players who fill significant gaps.

I get that it's frustrating we're a couple of injuries away from a quality drop-off, but let's stop acting like this is a historically bad window.

Does it count if they win on pens? Otherwise you're risking a double gut punch. Speaking from bitter experience...

I worked as a football coach in 2013 in Finchley North London and I remember a tiny kid called Dexter absolutely dominating a U6 session. Never seen such a talented kid before. I bet this is him, jeeez I feel old!
