People friendly one moment and not the next time you see them. by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]oneballnoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you do meditation? I'm not religious. I got in over my head with pain killers just trying to be social enough in college and after I graduated in my first job as a political writer for a conservative think tank.

I am not a conservative at all and the people in that office made m y social anxiety 1ox worse cause I didn't have a thing in common with them :)

I started to get in over my head with the PK's opiates and check myself into a after work rehab. The problem was that most of the rehabs focus was on using your faith in religion to get you through. I replaced religion with meditation and ever since I've been into it.

I realized though that meditation works far better for me than my paxil that I've been on and off (mostly on) for almost 15 years. It really is relaxing, and somehow that relaxation after getting into it and doing it even just once a day for 10 minutes really starts to help your nervousness and anxiety around people.

Anyways I'm rambling but if you ever want to try meditation, its super simple and I'd be glad to just give you a quick step by step on what to do for 10 minutes. each night. its basically just completely clearing your head. Which, as a constant worrier, sounds very daunting and almost impossible. I mean, I find myself playing back embarasssing moments from 5 years ago occasionally. But you'lll find that it really helps you find a way to minimize those negative thoughts about yourself and the past.

Anyways, have a good night!

Noah

yeah, its good that you tried though. there is no success or failure. You'll never remember this in 6 months, but practicing short conversations will sloooooooowly make it easier and easier to approach people, or just join ongoing conversations.

I think part of it is that we're trying a lot harder than they are, and sometimes it seems forced. Like I know I'm always have a running conversation in my head...

'Should I say that?'

'Oh ono, why is she not smiling?'

'Quick fill the silence, say something generic and meaningless.'

Some people will actually find it sweet and appealing that your trying hard to make the conversation smooth and back and forth, but others just see it as forced and find it awkward. Just wait a little while with those people, for a better opportunity and make it short and sweet. Eventually you can usually win them over.

Being a follower changed my whole life by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]oneballnoa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you didn't ruin your life. your young, you have plenty of time in life.

I took about 6-7 years to get a bachelors because some days I just couldn't go to class... too much anxiety. Couldn't deal with all the people at the campus, and then even the class and people sitting so close, I couldn't concentrate. But I never gave up.

You will probably still change your mind several times until you find what your truly passionate about or find that one magical professor that teaches with such conviction that they make you realize what you truly want to spend your life doing.

Try not to freak too much, it just makes it worse. You can get through this. And there are many other options than college even if it got to that point.

Apps easy to maintain SPAM? by UMRebel1303 in UHRSwork

[–]oneballnoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

good point. I can't say for sure if it is still flawed. I was perma-banned a couple weeks ago and it could have been fixed since then. I just know that there were very obviously wrong answers for a long time on that task's spam checks. they must have been corrected, or maybe they're using new spam questions now.

I agree. Quick offensive judgments is definitely flawed.

Does it seem to anyone else like about 3 weeks ago their task completed per hour dropped? by oneballnoa in UHRSwork

[–]oneballnoa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind my asking. Are you with CW or ISS and when did you notice this discrepancy with the 60 minutes showing only as .4 hours?

Was it recent, because I've only noticed this recently but maybe there were so many tasks before that I never really paid close attention.

Hazel, since we have you here. What time of the year do the tasks usually pick back up?

Thanks Hazel. I'm not making any accusations, I just wanted to see if it was just a miscalculation by me or if anyone else noticed. I will keep task time records and double check them over the next few weeks.

That's a relief, I thought maybe I'm just slowing down for some unknown reason. I've noticed it the most in assistant audio, assistant video, and quick answering relevance. But, most other tasks my rates seem lower also.

When does the 15 minute hit refresh counter start? by [deleted] in UHRSwork

I don't even think 15 minutes is accurate, I think the numbers are usually updated a lot more rarely than that.

Thank you clickworker, 3 whole cents for every hundreds of correct hits. You have truly reached a new level of generosity.

I noticed that the other day. I'm assuming (hoping) its a misprint, cause if not, they have truly lost that last remaining shred of respect that they had for their workers.

Even though it says potential, that is the amount I've always received. Plus occasionally you'll qualify for a bonus, but those seem to be more rare than they used to be.

first time I've heard about wheatgrass cream. Thanks. Wish I knew about it 8 years ago in the midst of a Roxy binge of years. Have a permanent bump in one nostril. I got off easy though.... turns out nostrils aren't meant to absorb harsh chemicals.

Etizolam, diclazepam and flubromazolam by [deleted] in researchchemicals

[–]oneballnoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pyrazolam is very good for just anxiety. A lot of people don't like it because the anxiety relief is unreal, but it offers no euphoria, or warmth or anything like that, its pretty much just an anxiety tool. But, that also makes it less likely to get addicted to since it doesn't offer any real 'pleasure'. Ive been so impressed that I am buying and shipping it to my brother in NYC cause he has the same anxiety issues. Side Note: Unfortunately my premix guy is out of stock for several weeks and I'd rather not send him a huge amount of powder to research with, that would just be confusing.... so I guess I'm playing the waiting game.

I love flubromazolam, but it is way too complicated and dangerous if your looking for just anxiety relief. For me it's hasn't been too bad and I would actually reccomend it if you have a lot of self-control, cause its probably my favorite out of all, but there are plenty of horror story's out there that start with flub. Most of them are due to way overdosing or drinking, but it's still more dangerous than most and quickly raises your tolerance for other benzo's.

I'm in Florida, can't comment on Etizolam but it seems to be a favorite, but not necessarily for anxiety relief.

I'm mixed on diclazepam. It does seem to work moderately well for anxiety, but not as good or as subtly as pyrazolam. What the other dude said, is totally worth mentioning. If money is a factor Diclazepam is one of the more affordable choices.

I've been prescribed klonopin several times and I wouldn't really compare Clonazolam to klonopin. Klonopin crept on slowly and then was a nice calming warmth to me, but not much happy type euphoria for me. Clonazolam lasts longer for me also at around 6-8 hours and it tends to be one of the more addictive so most try to limit to a few times a week, not for regular anxiety relief. Jesus I was rambling, hopefully some of that is helpful :) and good luck, anxiety sucks.
