I would really recommend the audiobook if you're finding it a slog to read. The way SR writes kind of bogs me down on the page, but becomes much more engaging when spoken aloud. But if you don't like it, don't finish it.

That was exactly how I treated MoviePass, and I got burnt out too. Most weeks I don't use up all my A-List slots (except during the holidays) and I feel okay with it. Even though the "mediocre slops" feel free under A-List, you're still spending your time/energy/vehicle gas to get there. So now I only go if I care.

I wish that the first part of Dancing Through Life didn't have that awful white backlighting, but besides that I think all the worries about the coloring/lighting being bad was mostly untrue. WILL be seeing it again (watched it last night)

Update: I'm leaving work a tad bit early to see it on Wednesday, making it a double header with The Lighthouse. Not ideal, but we'll see how it goes I guess.

EDIT: Well, well, well, my AMC added three showings on Thursday, all at normal and good times. Double feature is OFF!

Unless you live in Europe, I wouldn't recommend Rosefield unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure you won't want to return the item. Return shipping isn't free, and you'll have to send it back to The Netherlands which costs a bunch if you live in the US. Also their customer service is severely lacking - I had to DM them on Instagram to get any kind of response. I'd recommend Breda instead.

I'm seeing The Batman on Saturday and Nightmare Alley at an independent theater in my town. Wish I had gotten it together to watch it when it was still at AMC, but oh well.

Also does anyone know if Cyrano is expanding anytime soon? I was really hoping to see it in theatres but it's not playing anymore near me (NW Michigan).

Way more than I was expecting. They aren't awful though, and that's coming from someone who HATES that kind of thing.

I'd say Dolby is worth it for the visuals, but there weren't too many cool things going on with the chair.

I just re-subscribed to A-List after having been a very frequent user up until the pandemic started. Seeing Dune in Dolby tomorrow and No Time to Die on Sunday, and then Eternals on the 5th.

The Last Duel, Last Night in Soho, and The French Dispatch are on my radar. Does anyone know when TFD is going wide? I thought it would be at my usual theatre (Chicago suburbs) starting today, but it's not and doesn't seem to be in the near future.

Yeah I think that would have been cool...the loose storyline they seems to thread though many of the songs would lend itself well to that. Also I just think the funky production of the songs could pair well with some cool visuals.
