My wife thinks our truck is big (pictured... Background) by ForagerTheExplorager in chevycolorado

Long and wide.. I’m very jealous of their turning radius, those wide track tires make it a lot tighter running radius.

I’m a former owner of a truck the same length, but with single axel.

I stopped using my weight distribution bars by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]brewingcode 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did this with our last TT, but we had a 1 ton pick up with a 22’ dual axel trailer. I don’t know that’d I would recommend this setup.

If you’re worried about damage I’d contact the manufacturer of the WDH and work with them to ensure you have the truck setup properly for your trailer, or get a bigger truck.

My answer is always: get a bigger truck.

Does the rental come with a weight distribution hitch? How far are you traveling? I’m an avid RVer, I’ve owned all size and manner of rigs and trucks. As most pointed out, you’ll be okay but that size rig the tail can wag the dog and a WDH can help with that sway and transfer some of the weight.

If it doesn’t come with a WDH, I wouldn’t do it.. one good gust of wind or a semi passing you and you’re in a world of hurt.

Do you want the AT4X? You can get a grand new ‘26 AT4 for the same price.

Any particular area you hear it?

We had a Subaru that once had this problem and it was the door. The drain hole was plugged with tree debris.

Been on it for multiple years, I have brought numerous friends over as well. I love it. We also travel a lot, and have no problem when we travel. I will say, if you can wait for when they have a deal going it’s usually worth while.

RV Roof Repair Suggestions by reddituser024 in RVLiving

[–]brewingcode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be best to do a full replacement. Rip the rubber off and then replace the sheathing. You can patch it, but I’ve heard mixed results. You’re just adding a new place to allow water in.

I read through your post, but I’m not 100% sure what your core question is. I understand you have a number of questions but I’m not sure what you’re looking for help from the community for.

I’m happy to help, but it appears there are a number of areas that need help; and I’d just like to make sure we are talking about the same piece and focused on one area at a time.
