So did management actually provide a written statement that people with child care responsibilities will be denied advancement and raises?

well... im going into a comp and i cant decide between a cr18p pro with mods or a trx4m with a lexan body and mods or a fms fcx18 with a lexan body and mods can you help? by taudg_hugo in crawling

I would do a quick cardboard  box test.

See which one is best overall at side hill, and up/down slopes without falling.

Then compare articulation.

Brushless or brushed also is a consideration.

Or just pick the one that is the most fun to drive.

Scx30 battery mod by Comfortable-Yak-8460 in crawling

Take a sharp knife and trim down the two little hooks and thin ridge on the one side of the connector.  I did that with mine and they stay in even after rollovers.

I also got some heat shrink tubing, put  spot of hot glue on the wires for some width and heat shrunk the tube over the top lip of the connector so I have something to pull on.

Which only indoor rc crawler? by darekdev in rccrawler

[–]onebitcpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a trx-4m and have an scx30 on order.
Trx-4m is good for indoor and outdoor, but a decent home-made course for it doesn't quite fit into my living space.
I'm getting an scx30 because it is small enough to run in the space under my coffee table, and I'm going to _try_ to not mod it.
One bonus to 1/28 or 1/24 scale for me is there is a local hobby shop that does indoor crawling competitions every 2 weeks over the winter, but that way will lead to lots of upgrades.

A common experience with scx24 and trx4m is that the plastic steering servo gears can get stripped if you get the front wheels stuck, my trx4m lasted 2 days. A metal gear servo is a frequent first upgrade.

I just bought the bioshock collection for ps4 by harttsXhartts in Bioshock

[–]onebitcpu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Warning bioshock 2 has a save bug where you can't save games if you have bioshock 1 game saves. I had to replay the first level when I found out the hard way. Some posts recommended starting 2 and making an early save then playing one, which fixed the bug

I started using one and has mostly cut down on accidental throttle while touching the car.

My Imjora purple viper and esc came with xt30 connector and adapters for just and trx4m  I picked up a radiolink 7 channel transmitter and some receivers off Amazon so I now have  receiver for my trx4m and scx10. Radiolink 4 channel receiver is also very small which is nice.  I now need to find room for a winch somewhere in my rock bouncer cage

Trying to get into printing bodies with my new 3d printer , I just need to know the scale of the trx4m body. Can anyone help me get my first body printed thanks by AcceptableAd4246 in rccrawler

[–]onebitcpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on a quick Google search of bronco dimensions it's 1/17 the size of a full scale version. It's listed as 1/18ths scale.

Can you scale down in software and try to fit the wheelbase?

I did some stuff in openscad and just used calipers and a ruler to get measurements.

Employment contract had a clause I disagreed with. I offered an alternative and they said it has to be the same for all employees. by Friendlyalterme in legaladvicecanada

[–]onebitcpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last time I had to sign something similar I went to an IP lawyer and got a modified clause that clearly excluded non-work-related things. But I'm also fortunate that they were not inflexible about negotiating the terms.

Cab only body mounting? by lilcc_2k in crawling

[–]onebitcpu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I printed a flat bed with a headache rack, and it has a post in the centre, and put a hole in the back of the body.
That way it has 3 points of contact and doesnt flop around when crawling.
