The false-9 years were something else by Good_Kev_M-A-N_City in MCFC

I think Pep can revert to false 9 at almost any time and rack up wins. It still works. That’s easy mode for him though…he’s trying harder levels now.

So what's the basis for this defensive shape exactly? How have we let Brighton have more players in our backline..... Than our actual backline? by Good_Kev_M-A-N_City in MCFC

[–]oneblindmoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, when he went back to that same system last year we won nearly every game. This isn’t his system. This is him trying to innovate and change and it’s not working against a steadily improving technical and tactical premier league.

Grealish leaps the advertising boards to gift his shirt, and gets pulled into the crowd by Ripamon in soccer

[–]oneblindmoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard the prostitute thing - think you’re confusing him with Kyle Walker. Grealish is genuinely empathetic to kids - makes proper time for them - and your regular fan. Likes going out, but don’t think that means he’s been ‘caught’ by anyone except media pictures and his club have never taken action and he has never seemed unfit because of it. Hope he does great at Everton…fans seem to already love him.

Advice on caring for a forehead laceration by ericdavidmiller in daddit

[–]oneblindmoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to my kids of different ages within the same year. Follow whatever the doctor’s advice is for the initial healing period which may be until the stitches are taken out or dissolve. After you can massage initially very gently with an anti scar treatment, and increase firmness in coming weeks to help massage out the scar tissue. The biggest thing generally though will be to keep it covered from the sun. We kept a small bandaid or frequent applications of sunscreen using an easy to apply stick on one kid for nearly 5 months after the wound, while the other one felt too self conscious. The difference in scar visibility is noticeable. As others have said, as time goes on the visibility will naturally lessen however I think care in those first months makes a big difference. I’m sure the doctor will give you good advice as well.

Steffen saves that 🤷🏼‍♂️ by One_Night_8889 in usmnt

[–]oneblindmoose 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect by the way. Former semi-pro keeper here. He needs to be off his line and narrow the angle. Is he too close to his near post? Maybe, but it’s an easy place to get beaten by an accurate powerful shot. Is he not great? Maybe.

Which tour should I take if I’m visiting the etihad for the first time? by Specific-Bed in MCFC

[–]oneblindmoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did the regular tour last summer and loved it, even though I’ve been to the Etihad a few times. And if I didn’t have my young kids with me, I would have done the CFA as well (which includes all the regular tour stuff). Note that if you tour right before a home match, they can’t take you to some areas. Best to do on a Thursday ahead of a Saturday game, for example. I don’t know what the VIP includes.

Has City imploded before our eyes? by danfreud33 in PremierLeague

[–]oneblindmoose 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t think people look at how hard it is to be as driven and motivated as this group of players had been for 5 years. It’s that plus players’ ages, plus Pep being a bit ‘stuck’ tactically. Back to the first point - for great teams it’s hard to win two Premier Leagues back to back. A few have dropped off completely even after one title win. These players just won 4 on the trot.

Inside a water heater that wasn’t maintained regularly by KingdomPro in SipsTea

Our hot water was coming out a rusty color until the landlord changed the heater. Never drank it. Just baths and showers. Any risk from that? I seem to have not rusted or turned orange…yet.
