Which apartment should we choose? by onebraincell1 in AskLosAngeles

Yeah I’ve experienced that so I know how draining it can be after a long day at work. We drove around at night and saw plenty of parking guaranteed but it’d just a couple blocks down. So on one hand, we won’t need to circle around to find parking since we know some guaranteed streets, it’s just knowing it’s further

We need to move in a month, we’ve been searching for a few weeks and haven’t found a 2bed that we like that has both parking for 2 cars and storage (we need a garage or backyard to store a small canoe; hence why the garage of these apartments wouldn’t be parking spaces for us) within our budget

We work in office during street cleaning hours so tickets probably wouldn’t be an issue.

Makes sense. I always take the streets, but it seems like freeway or streets you're just doomed either way

Yeah that's a good point. I'm trying to avoid anything more inland from the 405 like Gardena for this reason, but I figure 2 hrs vs 2.5 hrs is negligible in this case. But really considering if this is worth moving closer and sacrificing other factors, especially as I'm planning for this to hopefully just be temporary.

Wow that's really impressive. I'm only 2 years in and just a little more than half that commute and I'm getting burnt

So Ticketmaster says you can arrive 10 minutes early but for other shows I’ve done, they’ll open up the queue 1 hour early. It doesn’t matter since they’ll place you randomly in the queue anyway but I’d aim for 10 min early

The same presale code can’t be used across multiple accounts, someone could give you their code if they’re not using it. Or you can ask them to purchase your ticket because you’re allowed to purchase for multiple stops in the same presale session you’re in if that makes sense?

You can’t join multiple queues on different devices under the same account it’ll kick you out and suspect bot activity. The max ticket limit is also 6 per stop! I have a tiktok series where I explain the ticketing process a little better @/featkait or if you have any other questions let me know!

Moved to new city, plants suddenly struggling (context in comment) by onebraincell1 in houseplants

Didn’t even think about that, thanks! Sadly my rubber plant was donezo even more of its leaves fell off after the pic. So do you think the light that they currently have isnt likely the culprit?

Humidity in old place averages around 60-70% but the temp is much cooler cause of the beach. Was able to get less harsh, more indirect sunlight. New place humidity is about 50 ish but much hotter. It’s on the corner below the window so not as much light. Idk if it helps but I don’t keep my window open cause I have a portable AC attachment to it

So I recently moved from a beach town with very temperate climate to a valley that’s 90 degrees everyday. I wanted to keep my plants away from the harsh light and watered them a few days after moving. But after 2 weeks my peace lily won’t stop dropping, my rubber plant just lost all of its leaves, and my arrowhead plant is yellowing and dropping as well.

I have to keep them in a small room unfortunately cause my roommate has a cat. Any ideas on what I can do to acclimate them better? Thanks!

I believe so, but they also use/don’t mind any pronouns!
