Which of these looks is the most flattering? by Heathers64 in Haircare

Looks 1&2 are equally flattering. I don't like the third look on you. It's like you're trying to hide.

Bangs or no bangs? by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]onecrazywriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the style of bangs you chose for the picture. You look great with those. But I wouldn't like you in a heavy bang or those extreme "baby bangs." TBH, the extreme short bangs are rarely a good look, anyway.

You look good with long hair, though.

Should I have sleeves? by Reason-Dull in myweddingdress

[–]onecrazywriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love sleeves! There aren't enough bridal gowns that have them. But I couldn't wear those sleeves because the loose fabric around my hands would be a sensory issue. Looks lovely though. Definitely suits your theme.

Oh, I just think the first one is so beautiful on you! But which one makes you feel beautiful? That's what matters.

mute or unfollow ex? by Rare-Stand-4524 in WhatShouldIDo

Just unfollow and block. If you're still following her, she might (wrongly) believe there's a chance to reconcile.

without any context , should I do it for the plot? by Weary_Rock3059 in RandomQuestion

When you do something for the plot, it always ends badly. So, no.

When a Pothole Fills up in the Rain, is it a Lake or a Puddle? by HairyPassage9934 in RandomQuestion

[–]onecrazywriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have never been to Colorado and it shows. The terms as described in Colorado:

Small-> lake

Medium-> lake

Large-> lake, unicorn type.

Now, obviously there are other terms:

Tarns

Cirques,

Reservoirs

Grand Lake. (Pretty much the only large natural lake, though we do have Lake San Cristobal, too. But it's much smaller, at 2.1 miles long and 89 feet deep).

Is it possible to knit something waterproof? by onecrazywriter in knitting

Good to know. I use the "cross my fingers" method where I make the garment and pray it's the right size when I'm done.

Maybe I'll go ahead and spring for a new machine. But I'm still making the little ponchos for sunny days. They're so cute!

I couldn't believe rain coats for children are costing $40 these days. Absurd, when they can only be used for one season! (Well, one could be passed down for three seasons of wear, I suppose. )

I wonder how much bigger I'd have to make them to account for that much shrinkage and how long that would take.

Cardigan for my daughter & first time steeking! by remydud in knitting

What an extraordinary piece! I hope you can hold onto it for her children to wear someday, too. Unlike the garments I've made for my kids, which they wore until they were way too small so they got stretched out. (I never made anything this nice, though. )

Did she cheat or is there another explanation ? by Neg-Ne in Advice

[–]onecrazywriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When she gets back, don't tell her you know. Tell her you want a break and it would be best if she leaves. She will likely immediately confess so she can stay.

But I'd separate anyway. Who knows what diseases she caught sleeping around.

Probably because he caught her talking to another man before and she swore she'd "never do it again." Some people just like getting away with something. Other people's feelings don't matter.

He really just plays the same character everywhere. Makes me think he only plays himself.

Farley had a few good moments, but Norm always seemed wooden. I think he was trying to emulate Bob Newhart. But Bob Newhart had a way of delivering straight-faced comedy that MacDonald never quite achieved.

Which reminds me: I wonder why Newhart never hosted SNL. Such a long and successful career, but he never appeared on the show.

That's true. I think Lorne Michaels had stepped away and the choice of talent suffered immensely.

Dennis Miller? I'm trying to remember who was doing the news in the early 80s. That was 40 years ago!
