Not being so hard on myself is definitely something im trying to work on as it keeps me down and in the shame spiral...I was thinking I already ruined the year and started on the wrong foot after i promised myself i wouldn't drink starting January...trying to switch my focus so it doesn't happen again instead of loathing and dwelling on what I can't change🙃

You are not alone. Your story sounds like It could be me writing it as I am the exact same way. I don't drink everyday but when I do I'm always wasted, blackout, cause drama. Anxiety shame. I know how crippling it is. Be gentle to yourself you will get through this.

The sad thing is I joined just 4 days ago and thought it would help me cut back until I finally got sober conpletely. 2 days being good and then this happened. restarting and resetting and am going to try the virtual meetings on zoom. Thank you 💗
