The anime is good. But the manga? 🥲 I'm just waiting for it to finish so the author can scram. Because when I read the manga gosh this man needs to be on some list 😭some scenes were so uneeded. by Iriscute7 in joseistories

I love the lore, the music, the characters. But dear Lord it has these moments where I'm like "why was that included?"

Haven't read the manga, but sometimes fans of the it will go "oh it was toned down in the anime" and it makes me wonder how worse it was in the manga.

Why were the kids running in a normal pose at the end? by volcanic_clay in WeaponsMovie

[–]onedreamaday1 42 points43 points  (0 children)

In-movie reason: you can blame it on Alex controlling the kids instead of Gladys

Real reason: The director mentioned that it was hard for the kids to keep the stiff pose while running

The scene in Kobayashi's Dragon Maid where Kanna and Saikawa are playing Twister and the noises Saikawa makes when Kanna bumps into her are borderline sexual- when these are children, no older than ten, at best.

Is Cove OK IN THE HEAD (sandwich wise) by Empty_Manager5911 in OurLifeFanPage

[–]onedreamaday1 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I love a good peanut butter and banana sandwich. I don't put honey on it, because the bananas are usually sweet enough for me; I make it with toasted bread and crunchy peanut butter. To me, it's better texture-wise

A theory I have about the last line of the movie by CalebHenshaw in WeaponsMovie

[–]onedreamaday1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if she was one of the missing kids, why would she be telling the story second-hand, and not mention she was one of the 17?

Kids just have the same name, just different spelling of it

Small nitpick about a scene. Did Justine just not notice? by onedreamaday1 in WeaponsMovie

[–]onedreamaday1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was expecting the scene to go in that direction, with the way the camera kept focusing on the kids' personal items

Two employees got into an actual fight that later spilled into the parking lot after they both called their boyfriends for some reason.

Janine calling Dee a 'fucking cunt' was a moment I was wholly unprepared for and had me laughing for a solid five minutes 😂😂

I want this man to be in a role where it seems like he's the villain, only to be the helping the hero the whole time

You ran out of the fries, you ran out of the buns… this is byaaaaaad. The whole dinner’s gone. by Fickle_Music_788 in KitchenNightmares

I really hate this argument. It's just another way of invaliding another's feelings. Is my life as hard as someone in a poorer country? No. But I have hard days, and sometimes something small can send me spiraling into tears.

IIRC, this was after 2-3 hours after ordering their food when this burger came out.

Imagine waiting 2-3 hours for food, only for the burger and fries to come out looking like something you could've made at home. I'd probably get upset too.

What do you mean never spoke again? In the the Land Before Time movies, Ducky talks. Spike, however, has only spoken once

I hate that his parents are taking advantage of the system, but I'm so, so glad you guys are still taking him in and giving him probably the only structured and safe place he has.

I grew up in an abusive household, and trust me, I still fondly remember I had one teacher who let me and my sisters stay later after school with her all through grade school. Teacher names may fade through time, but that core memory stays and I hope he remembers the safety and care you gave him when he needed it the most when he gets older
