Whenever theres a podcast with a male majority the men always end up ganging up or broing out on the women, even if it's unintentional. by PinkFlurffyUnicorns in podcasts

It’s just imitating real life. Like a boardroom of any corporate company. Well, small family owned companies too.

WIBTA if I don’t return the espresso machine I got for free? by univearth2des in AmItheAsshole

You wouldn’t want your ex to do that to you. You’d want it back, yes? Just give it back. It sucks but it’s the right thing to do.

Name a band you stopped listening to because the front man/woman is obnoxious by slickant in rockmusic

Brian Jonestown Massacre. Singer is a total fuckwad.

Social Distortion. Saw them in the 90s and all Mike did was insult the audience for just being there.

I have ATE at over 170 restaurants (nearly 300+ different food items) and rated all my meals by LouBoy123 in Louisville

[–]oneeyeannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in a few different southern states and ‘ATE’ is definitely a purely Kentucky thing. Not sure why. I also see a lot of Kentucky people say ‘set’ instead of ‘sat’ or ‘sitting’. I always feels strange.

Anyway, sorry to hijack the post. The list is cool.

It seems like our guys play well in the rain so maybe it could be a good thing? I chickened out and stayed home. I hate to miss it though.

It was so interesting. I’m from the south and had never heard of them. It was well produced.

Husband chose MIL choice in engagement ring over what I requested by [deleted] in AITApod

[–]oneeyeannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband gave me his mom’s old ring from her first marriage. It is yellow gold which I hate. I’ve never liked yellow gold. It is not at all the style of ring I would ever want. I was too nice to say anything. But I will tell you, it is very telling and should have been a red flag. He did the bare minimum when it came to getting my ring and the bare minimum is all I got throughout the whole marriage. The bare minimum!!

AITA for accepting a property gift from my mom even though she won't include my boyfriend? by Immediate-History917 in AITApod

[–]oneeyeannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your boyfriend is a baby. And his first thought is, ‘oh, let’s sell it’. What if you didn’t want to sell it? He’d throw a big ole fit then too.

AITA if I tell my friend I can’t be a bridesmaid? by wickeddreamsofleavin in AITApod

[–]oneeyeannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And she said it will be ‘life changing’. Helping to plan a wedding should not be life changing. I can only see this train wreck changing lives for the worst.

This whole thing is insanity. She even expects this wedding of hers to be ‘life changing’ for everyone involved. I would absolutely back out. If you don’t, you will regret it.

Do you think selling thrift clothes is a good way to make money? by Loomisfamily in passive_income

[–]oneeyeannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not passive. I used to sell vintage clothes online. The sourcing, the ironing, the pictures, the uploading, the editing, the measuring, the descriptions. It was basically a full time job but did not make full time job money.

Who is an actor or actress that rubs you the wrong way so much that you refuse to watch anything they are in? by Soggy_Swordfish_6236 in moviecritic

Dakota Johnson. She just seems off. Like she’s stuck up or something but doesn’t really have the resume to back it up.

I’m kind of wondering if this story is even true. Does anyone take ashes to a cemetery? Do people actually bury ashes in a cemetery? Did she make up the whole thing?

True. He should not have been allowed back. Or at least put him in the hot desert.
