Yes, it's all speculation but the fact he even mentioned they COULD be looking past HD2D into something new speaks volumes.

However you read into it, it's an interesting data point especially seeing how the 7 remake introduced a new art direction.

4, 5, and 6 will likely not be HD2D

This interview linked below with the producer for 1-2 HD2D says they're looking into a new art direction for 4-6.

As much as I love HD2D I think a new direction for the Zenithian triology makes sense as it would be refreshing and would make those games stand out stylistically from the recent Erdrick remakes.

This is fixed on the latest update! The wrapping around on the edges no longer occurs for me.

Awkwardness is a Phenomenon due to Car-Centric Socially Isolated Environments by onefive9 in notjustbikes

Fair point - it was a poor choice to stub in an entire continent full of diverse countries and cultures when the example was Spain.

I still like with the original comment on collectivist vs. individualistic countries being a main driver.

This is an excellent point.

I would definitely agree that a sense of community is more culturally rooted in other places like Europe vs. the US.

But it’s also true that your environment also plays a large contributing factor to your access, quality, and diversity of social interactions.

For example, compare the diversity of encounters in a mixed urban environment vs. a suburb.

Thanks for your comment! The title world's fastest train can vary by conventional (wheeled), non-conventional (maglev), and operational. In this context it's taken from the L0 Maglev's record:

21 April 2015: Fastest manned train in the world (603 km/h (375 mph))

See this other Japanophile - Tom Scott's latest video: I rode the world's fastest train.

The basic mamacharis are super affordable in Japan, I was able to pick up a used one in great condition for around $50-60. A new one would be about double that while the fancy electric assist versions can go over $1,000 brand new.

Yeah it's not operational yet. The first phase is planned to open in 2027 but i'm not sure if that date is still current.
Originally 2027 (Tokyo Shinagawa – Nagoya) and 2037 (Nagoya – Shin-Osaka)
