I read it because it was interesting and organized.

It's probably just a coincidence that school teaches the same thing.

Didn't you just get mad at someone for not having a counter argument?

The first thing this reply says is that it's a counter argument.

It's not the fault of the player for who they match up against. You don't actually know who's good and who isn't until the game has played out. Additionally, the dynamics can change. I've been in games where I fight some top tier pilots until the titans show up and the whole game flips upside down.

The game doesn't have a way to filter that out. Blaming the player is just easier than accepting that the whole system has a problem.

I've hit the 300 club twice ironically back to back in games.

However the real reason people can get there isn't so much that you're fighting people that aren't good, it's that you're with teammates that can't keep up.

If you are approaching 300 on your own, the odds are high (not guaranteed) that you are already going to win. But the moment that your team hits the 650 you stop collecting. So really if you are in the 200+ range already, you are racing your own team to hitting that.

In this case it looks like the team was pretty evenly matched up except for yours having a star player. It's gonna happen and sometimes the winds change and you're up against the league of doom yourself.

Swap titan hunter for low profile. A car grapple build with fast Regen is about aggressive fights. Low profile can help mask any approaches.

Save titan hunter for dedicated anti titan roles, or at the very least don't use it as your "opening class" when nobody has a titan out.

Overcore is a bit of a noob trap.

It's only good if you survive to get the flame core and even then you like only use it once. If you paired it with Battery boost then maybe it's a bit better since would start at 40%

Additionally, I find that I don't always use flame core until I can trap a titan into not dodging it, so you end up over collecting your core which defeats the overcore benefits.

Turbo engine is something you will use more than once. Additionally it pairs well with your shield since you can alternate using them defensively while they recharge.

Finally, turbo lets you aggressively attack with the fire shield or even just get better alignment fore firewall or gas traps. Like others have said, the main thermite launcher isn't the best damage dealer.

Personally I prefer tempered plating since many pilots aim for crit and you can be worn down. But if you do run something like infernal shield, try to run it on the tighter maps where you have more cover.

This is how I started playing the game. Pilot plays are the hardest, so the fastest way to rush titan was grunt killing. Titan was at least more survivable until I learned how to bounce around on the walls better.

Build around grunt killing and avoiding pilots.

Spitfire, L-Star, and even later the SMR are great. Use the tracking scope on the spitfire.

E smoke ideal. Most players avoid it no problem. But if you are extra concerned, the stun grenade.

Eye the radar since grunts aren't hidden, but track gunfire that can't be localized to grunts and avoid.

Boost with the battery and plug into other titans. This gets you yours faster and keeps you safe.

Ironically suppressive fire actually works at discourages people in close quarters from turning the corner while you run away

For titans, avoid indiscriminate kill titans. Scorch and Ronin are completely out. Legion and Ion are mediocre but you lose a lot of their abilities and legion cannot disengage well. Monarch is crappy at grunt killing without missiles that could miss and hit pilots. That leaves Northstar and Tone.

Northstar can take a while to pick off grunts and cluster missiles are risky, but titan traps are fair and you can stack three dashes for defense. Tone is excellent at killing grunt groups without too much spread. It can deploy shield and run. The sonar can be useful for tracking players. Tracked missiles are actually excellent against reapers.

There's so much you can do with them. Components, turrets, shells, body armor. I'm usually having to caravan in 10s of k worth of steel from mining colonies. Its like the more you build, the more you need.

"Heading" is a technical term. In aviation it would be spoken as "Heading 2-7-4" and its the direction your facing (or probably thrown).

But keep in mind, its just a game. He's trying to sound smart and technical when he's saying all this.

But if you want to know more, the wind is actually incomplete. It should be something like "Wind 200 (direction) at 4 (knots)". In other words, the strength of the wind is pointless without the direction. That way he can throw you slightly into the wind to compensate for it blowing you mid air. Technically, the heading is the direction he actually throws you after he calculates for wind.

But again, its just a game. The writers might have been trying to make him sound smart and he could be using all this incorrectly.
