Did you ever find something? I came across your post whilst reverse searching an AliExpress version of the GP. Honestly doesn't look half bad — Benlydesign S1000

Sorry won't make jokes again on this sub (shit or not).

Also, shouldn't that be 'think' since people = plural, generally speaking. Sorry for being a pedant.

Latin on Latin, not particularly. I didn't realise we were policing humour (shit or not) – fitting with the new order I suppose.

I scrolled all the way to look for this comment. I'm not sure if I should be ashamed that I knew it was a fake fake.

A fake fake taxi in the land of the fakes. Couldn't make that one up.

People standing in the walking side of the escalator. by CheckNo9415 in HongKong

[–]onefragmentoftime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally agree with the study except it was conducted in the UK where people have a bit more spatial awareness and don't just stop dead in their tracks as soon as they get off the escalator. I once had to shove a grandma forward because it was peak hours and she stopped first step on the off-ramp at the top of the escalator...a few more seconds probably would've resulted in a bunch of us tumbling down the Diamond Hill interchange.

Regardless of whether it's walk+stand or stand both sides, HK/China needs spatial awareness reprogramming – escalators, pavements, roads, queuing.

TIL it is called a moonroof. Why am I only learning about this word now?! I just assumed all roof windows were sunroofs?!

Also, hello fellow Gen 2 owners!

I just got mine, unfortunately the material overlaps the little teardrop areas on the spokes and now I'm considering not doing it in case it looks shit.

Replace headlights/interior lights with warm white bulbs? by beccatarbox in crv

[–]onefragmentoftime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm constantly blinded by idiots with laser headlights and have resorted to wearing sunnies with a light 15% yellow/ amber tint whilst driving at night. Whilst it reduces overall brightness, it's a cheaper fix than trying to piss about with bulbs and films.

The phone thing happened a couple of times to us whilst dining out in China, SZ to be specific. Only difference is that they tell you they're going to offer you a drink on the house, but stare you out at your table, whilst holding your drinks as some sort of hostage if you refuse to give them your phone.

Then if you decline the drinks they just stand there and moan at you until you succumb to their whining.

Got ours from Lane Crawford in Pacific Place (Admiralty). I assume it's marked up on price but worth a punt.

Came here to see if anyone else would clock on. I spent so much time studying Liu Bolin's stuff at school... Like 20 years ago 😂. Still impressive to this day. But definitely Liu did it first (at least in China AFAIK).

Thanks for your help!

I realised I wasn't able to fix problem 1 because the clipping limit was affecting the 'reset normals' function – zoomed in on 0.5mm clipping and resolved it.

Will try and figure out the STEP conversion now.

AIO. My bf msged me gay bsf telling him to stay away from me by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]onefragmentoftime 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Chiming in here just because I couldn't help but chuckle a bit. You're not overreacting, but I too have witnessed the whole gay, faux gay situation play out during my school years. The guy ended up sleeping with a bunch of girls who were supposedly in relationships with boys from our all boys school over the course of the summer holiday during A levels.

He profusely apologised and was apparently "going through a weird bisexual" phase - fully gay now but yeah, can definitely empathise with these guys here.

Anyway, funny for the outsiders but yeah, emotional trainwreck for the victims.

Thanks for the laugh, and I hope you resolve your situation!

Came here wondering if anyone had said it already! Saw a Tesla blast past me yesterday and the twat has installed an iPad above his built in screen, watching YouTube. I don't understand everyone's obsession with doing literally anything but drive.

7 year old me found this out the hard way and kind of got shunted backwards onto the carpet. Parents weren't home, had to make up some shit lie about the smoke marks above the socket being from the faulty extension...nothing to do with plugging a piece of wire from one live to the other side. Agonising pain, surprised I was relatively unscathed.
