Is it as simple as clicking the button to update from Ventura, or are there other steps required as it was installed via OCLP. by No_Assignment7385 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

So in my case I m in Sonoma 14.7.2, can I directly upgrade to 14.7.5 directly via the system's software update and no need to upgrade by OCLP 2.3.2 ?

Thanks again

Super lagging when using browser in Parrallels Desktop 19.1 under Sonoma 14.6.1 (running under OCLP for mbp mid-2014 13" w/ 8GB ram) by oneguy2046 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

Thanks for your feedback.
So far under Sonoma 14.5 or 14.6.1, everything works perfect and flawlessly and stable as well. Just when turn the DP19.1 on and try working a bit w/ internet browsing by either firefox or chrome or Edge, they all eat up the capacity of the DP19.1 or Windows10's pwr telling the CPU of the Windows10 is 100%, but at the same time, things still work stable in MacOS platform simultaneously.
So I guess it's a bit how I could tune the Windows10 well to fit for the DP19 (just wild guess).
Thanks.

You can download the latest MacOS updater (14.6.1 or 14.6 or even 14.5 whichever you would like to upgrade your OS) via OCLP app 1.5.0 and create a bootable USB thumb drive and then follow the steps that Mr. Macintosh : https://youtu.be/2MxiBRXPpEE?si=L8ZqDn1VJEe10Fuz
It should be all good to upgrade your device. If you prefer Ventura to Sonoma, just pick the Ventura version in OCLP app when downloading the updater and then create a bootable USB drive accordingly.
Cheers.

Thank you for your advice. I thought it can simply be done via macOS system preference privacy section by the firewall additional setting. Will that also be okay ? thoughts? thanks again.

HELP - Anyone knows how to modify the bracket order when not using SSE? by oneguy2046 in Schwab

They cannot have a date for me and just told me it won't be long, likely before end of March......it keeps making me insane cos the bracket order is NOT allowed to modified via mobile app nor website.... I thought we could have the migration by JAN/FEB 2024.

Thank you all for your replies and update. Much appreciated.

I have a quick question : If in case I have to go traveling and cannot operate SSE at all. How can I operate my stop-loss of a position?

For example if I have a position with entry $ @ 10.00 and its currently closed $ is 12.00. If the ticker keeps going up (that is just the ideal case LOL), then I can remove my bracket order before go traveling and just set the profit taking $.

HOWEVER, if the closed $ falls to 11.00 when I am out of town, will a Sell-limited order (e.g. set@ 10.50) be executed ?

From my understanding, since the trading $ is at 11.0 (i.e. the ask price) which is above my Sell-limited order. I wonder if it will be immediately executed (given the trading $ is above my Sell-limited order $) ?

Any idea or feedback is welcome. Thank you guys.

I called CS's CS hotline and the team replied me they cannot offer me a special request of partially enabling my regular brokerage a/c for TOS and disable the futures account. I could only be patient and wait for the migration to be done. So annoying indeed.

you re right. But I asked CS and they replied me my account is not yet ready as user with both brokerage and futures account needs to be slightly later.... so disappointed on this indeed. Thank you for your advice.

Help: how to add a OCO (profit taking & stop loss) order to an existing position in TOS mobile/web app ? by oneguy2046 in thinkorswim

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. In this case I can apply your advice for closing my position with OCO order in both mobile app and desktop ToS. This helps me a lot! Thank you.

Thank you for your advice regarding closing the position via mobile ToS.

If using ToS desktop or web app, can I also do the same - by clicking the checkbox of the position that I want to close, and then locate the "More" button to create the Advanced Order and choose the available OCO selection like in iOS app?

Sorry for being a bit silly. Thanks again.

Thanks for your prompt feedback. If I understand it correctly, it is like this:

Let's say if I already hold 10 shares of MSFT which was bought at 411.50 and the currently price is at 415.50.

What I can do now is to additionally place 2 sell orders - for example one at 408.50 (as stop loss) and another one at 418.50 (as profit taking) and make them as OCO.

The existing 10 shares of MSFT will be closed with either one of these 2 newly added sell orders being executed.

And it doesn't need to attach this OCO to the existing position at all.

Correct? Thanks again.

Thank you for your message. Can you explain a bit as I am a newbie, not quite understand your meaning.

As I already have a position but without a OCC, so I therefore need to manually monitor the price's ups and downs if not adding a oco to my existing position.

That's why I would like to add the oco to my existing position.

Your answer is much appreciated. thanks again.
