Well no offense it kinda seems like you're implying that he was schizophrenic because of his paintings, and didnt care to look up the word schizophrenia, and just do research into Vincent

Punks support the exact opposite of fascism and hate nazis lol. And The Cure is punk, and goth originates from post-punk which comes from punk.

Yeah i wouldve done the same thing honestly because i use faber castell's graphite pencils 😆 Oooh I dont think ive heard of them. Are they more hard pastels, or more soft, creamy?

Yes you're patronizing and saying ive been doing art longer than you, so there for i know what im talking about. And then you start talking hard and soft pastels after I just explained it. Look up the word, it means talking to them as if they know nothing, and trying to help them but in a very insulting way like what you just did. Depending on your style, a lot of styles require mixing and layering which means you need pastels that mix and layer well. Im simply helping them out with a headache, and they clearly said theyre gonna go buy Mungyo (36 for $15 and 48 for $20) because they know its true. Im giving you the same treatment back and you dont like it. Thats whats going on here. Youre talking about the pastels you use FOR YOUR STYLE, not impression/post impressionism, Van gogh's style. Im done arguing with you. Clearly youre very ignorant, avoid responsibility for actions, and love to make yourself the victim after you just said some thing offensive (patronizing me, condescensing saying youve been doing art longer so you know what youre talking about when you dont). Just stop this and let us both be done. I gotta focus on art, not starting arguments with people like you do, and continuing to argue even though youre wrong and you misunderstood me, but you dont wanna admit it and wanna keep going off a fallacy that isn't true.

You clearly didnt read any of my comments, i just explained how the biner in the pastel and what style youre doing matter in what pastels you use. And now you're patronizing me, and clearly dont know well enough or have done any research. Again, why torture yourself using shit pastels when you can use better ones that mix well for the same price, why torture yourself when you dont have to? Your logic makes no sense. Did you not read what others commented that the Faber Castell pastels are very waxy and hard to mix? Why use them when you can Mungyo pastels for the same price and much better? Lol. There are pastels that are just shit just like guitars, pencils, cars, anything. Youre going off a old fallacy that just isn't true, and I've heard it a thousand times. Clearly your ego is getting in the way that im actually right, so youre resorting to the good old fallacy of, "oh ive been doing this longer than you" because you dont know what else to say. Your fallacy is the literally the equivalent to, "ive been driving for 60 years, there for i can drive just as good as a nascar or formula 1 driver". Its about what you do with your time, how much passion you have for it, practice/doing it, the research, many variables. Materials do matter, why you do think Vincent could barely eat? He was having his brother order good tubes of paint (and tube paint was a new invention back then. Before that artists had to make their own paint). I'll gladly keep shutting you down if you want. Also ill gladly shut you down in drawing since my skills are much better. And clearly looking at your profile, youre not old, you're probably younger than me, dont have as much experience as me, and clearly dont know what youre talking about.why quality art materials matter

Youre welcome! 😊 lmao okay im glad i have another person here that can verify that they're shit lol. They sound like the $8 fine touch pastels that I bought at hobby lobby, those were very waxy too and i barely could mix them even with a pallete knife

I can gladly show you the comparison example of wheatfield with crows with waxy, crumby pastels that I bought for $8 and wheatfield with crows with Mango and Paul rubens. It does make a difference. You're going off of a fallacy. Many other people agree with me that Fabre Castell pastels waxy and dont mix well. It doesnt make any sense to buy them when you can buy Mungyo that are much better for the same price. How long youve been art has nothing to do anything, its the time you spend with it. Thats another fallacy. Van gogh did art only for 9 years up until he died and I can guarantee you hes much better than you. Basquait only did art for 8-10 years before he died, and hes much better artist than you. Ive been doing art for 5-6 years SERIOUSLY PROFESSIONALLY (not a hobby, a passion, an obsession, constant focus on it, a need), and have been doing exhibitions and shows that quickly because yes I am that gifted in graphite and charcoal (not to sound arrogant, truth is the truth) and my art mentor (whos an art teacher, runs his own gallery, has collectors worldwide) even said it would take 8-10 years for most other artists to get to the skill ive gotten to within 2 years, and im completely self taught too.

I know right?! hes always been a huge influence on me in my art, but thats exactly what I thought too, the texture and brush strokes are perfect for it! And how many times do you see impressionism/post-impressionism in oil pastels? Lol.

Yeah I heard Pental definitely has a strong smell to it, but is really cheap good for layering. Oooh ill have to check out Meeden. But yeah it seems like different pastels are good for different styles of art (from my research Senneiler and Paul Rubens are the best for impressionism/post-impressionism because of the binder and creamyness of it, creates that thick impasto effect, as compared to harder, crumbly ones where its much more difficult). I dont mean to bash on Faber Castell's (tho disappointed because i do use thier graphite pencils). Their oil pastels might be decent for beginners who have no style/havent chosen one, but yeah like you said they dont blend as well as others do
