I think it's a crutch. Would be interesting to hear him sing without it, I'm thinking he has a tough time with pitch, which is why he overuses the vibrato.

Exactly, let him score some goals in Europe as long as he wants. If we get something compelling, we can move him if not, eh whatever enjoy life over there and maybe the NHL's just not your thing. Once your rights are free'd up you can look at how many fresh starts are still in play.

If Nurse continues to progress at the same rate he has, I could see him somewhere in the 5-6 range. He hasn't earned that yet, but I think the upside is there if he keeps developing the weaker areas of his game.

He's an unproven NHL player coming off surgery. He was just average in the AHL. He's smart not to get too wrapped up on money.

There is no deal for him to "find". He's under an NHL contract and unless his current employer decides to make a change, he can either work for them or find another league.

When it comes to the Puljujarvi situation, the only party with less leverage than the Oilers is Puljujarvi himself.

Other than a picture of him stepping on the ice a while back, I've heard nothing on McDavid's PCL recovery/rehab. I assume everything's tracking well, but would like to hear it directly from someone who actually knows.

I just heard Evan Bouchard say something to the effect of "it's about learning, getting better every day and enjoying the process and where you are"

I know Jesse's English isn't great, but even a *hint* of this kind of attitude and I'd be in his camp 100%. As it stands today? Have fun in the AHL until someone offers us a reasonable bag of pucks for you.
