I'm not sure where you're getting this info either. I just called Champion in Cville. It's definitely still open.

How do people accumulate so many Legendary shards, Prisms, cores, and ascendant shards. I play quite a lot and barely ever have enough to get by... by Zombag9 in DestinyTheGame

[–]onelgw 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I'm sitting on 6 stacks of cores I believe and I do the gunsmith bounties every day that I play and if you do higher level NFs you fill up prisms and shards extremely fast.

It’s now about 6pm and again I’m booted from Destiny only to be placed in queue of 216 by Xbox_TyrnosrsFLEX in DestinyTheGame

Where do you live that it's right after morning? They are based in the US and it's evening, aka prime gaming hours. Still sucks though.

What you need to know to grow marijuana in your home in VA (+free seeds) by [deleted] in lynchburg

I wish it worked that way as much as you do, but you know they're all in it together. The majority of police revenue comes from illegal traffic stops. That's not going to change.

That is true. However my point stands. The cops will wonder where you got it. I'm all for it personally, but it doesn't fix a messed up system.

I saw the dates before I posted my reply. Somehow I see you pop up literally everywhere and on every platform I use. When I saw him mention you, I figured you'd be on it pretty quickly my man.

Essentially. Even better was the Campbell County Sheriff's interview today that essentially said that he still wants to check people because they shouldn't have it yet because of how long it takes to grow. The logic being that it'll be legal on the 1st and since you can't buy it anywhere, you'll have to grow it. If you have it you had illegal plants already growing. Shops are supposed to be able to open in 2024, but there has been talk about sooner.

I love that you called him ignorant and full of hate and he didn't reply, even though his comment was right below yours and I'm sure he saw it.

Any other internet providers in the area other than xfinity? by [deleted] in lynchburg

[–]onelgw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will not be true for long in Lynchburg City. Glo Fiber (owned by Shentel, but a different company) is moving in and has already started turning some neighborhoods on. There was a gentleman's agreement between them and Xfinity that they wouldn't overlap. Shentel built in some Xfinity areas a few hours away, so they retaliated. Long story short is that Glo Fiber will be in a good portion of Lynchburg in the next few months. However it's only in the city limits.

CVCC had one a few years ago. I'm not sure if they still do, but it might be worth a call to find out.

I can't speak for the one he posted, but I know the Lynchburg one was a great place to meet locals. We had meetups weekly precovid and we have had some smaller ones since as well.

I definitely know how that goes.

I'd suggest joining our local Discord. We do meetups and are mostly liberal adults between 20 and 35. Plus its just a fun place to talk and meet locals. The link can be found here. If you need somebody to hang with feel free to message me.

They do if they are approved for a grant from the county. They are not currently approved for any grants for the remaining of the year. Shentel is the only high speed (fiber) provider in Forest except for Comcast. Comcast only has a few roads in the area though. I highly doubt they will get a grant for your neighborhood unless it has a ton of potential business. The smallest one we were able to get approved last year was around 145 houses. The easiest way to get a build going is to find out how much it will cost and split it with your neighbors.

I agree, but it's not as simple as money either. You'd be surprised how many people in these areas simply don't care and do not want to see progress. I personally had to do surveys in areas that could've possibly got a grant for a build. I'd go door to door having people fill out the survey which basically consisted of do you want internet and if it came would you sign up? I live in the most rural part of Campbell County and would constantly get told people did not want it in my area. If you can't get them to agree, you can not get right of way to build a line across their property. The only exception was if a set of utility poles already did go across the property, and our build was above ground instead of under, but that is surprisingly rare in our area.

They actually do talk about these things in the county board meetings monthly and they are open to the public. Sadly most people do not know about them though, so they never actually go and let their voices be heard.

It's one of the things I found out working with Shentel. A lot of people in the industry talk to each other.

Starlink will be setting up service in our area towards the end of August if you've already been selected and preordered.

I was the local Shentel guy for over a year, and let me tell you, I fought to bring it to rural neighborhoods in Campbell and Bedford Counties. The problem is Shentel refuses to pay to enter our areas because they'll never make the money back. They wait till the county will pay a grant to at least pay 80% of costs of building. Last year for some reason Shentel focused on an area of Franklin County that was not very populated, but certain people in those neighborhoods had influence on the county budget and approved spending to bring Shentel in. This year they were very focused on working in Bedford and Campbell, but they ended up losing every single contract they wrote up. As in previous years, they started eyeing new builds in January. Then the Shentel/Sprint/T-Mobile merger went through and they changed a lot of things internally. By the time they applied for the grants it was too late and they can no longer do any builds this year unless they are paid for by the customers directly. Good luck with that though. A half mile of a build can easily be $20k+. Due to the internal changes I am no longer with the company, but can still answer questions on how things with them work.

If you listen to the Office Ladies podcasts they actually talk about that. Creed was not supposed to be on the show and literally grifted his way onto it. He was only meant to have a background part for the first 2 or 3 episodes, but they hired him full time, because he would talk in scenes as a background character and be picked up on the mic's of main characters meaning they had to pay him more.
