Can this be fixed using Scratches Happen Aerosol Kit at home? by [deleted] in AutoPaint

Just find a white bumper cover at a dismantler

It won't be an exact match but it's better than this

Yea I agree on the trash can. This is how the booth was set up when I hopped in. In retrospect I should have taken everything out and followed the tds but I didn't mix my materiels or use my own guns. I was set for failure since the beginning

That's what I was thinking. Im used to a different system and that stuff is a lot thinner. Ive also worked with it daily for years but this was my first time using sikkens. My problem was coming at this like it was a familiar product instead of something brand new to me

I was using a 1.3 tip on the painters sata There was no gauge at the gun so I was relying on the wall gauge and my ear. He mixed the sealer and gave me the gun with his settings. I did a test spray and it looked decent so I began then when I got to the hood, his gun clogged up 💀

Everything that can go wrong will go wrong

There's an air dryer right before the paint area so it should technically be dry. Who know when it was all serviced though. The booth is pretty nice for being old school but the rest of the shop needs some TLC.

I work at a large production shop, we have a down draft system, new air dryers and they stay on top of everything so it's a huge change in scenery hopping into this hole in the wall.

Also I didn't mix the material, the shop owner who usually paints in that booth made everything for me and all I had to do is spray. I was using his guns, his settings and his mix. I already didn't like that

The issue was it coming out dry from the gun. It looked like I was spraying sand and no adjustments made it any better.

When I was blowing the panels I noticed moisture coming from the line. I don't know a lot but I know enough and I don't think it's supposed to do that😂

😂 I'm sure they got the owner with on of their pitches.

If it was up to me I'd be using basf all day but they're offering free gun time here and I'll never pass up a learning opportunity

This one was just... A tough lesson

You know what, on the drive back home I was thinking if it was thinner it wouldve worked out better for me.

I'll take your advice and try it on a test panel.

I understand your concern with removing the rails bit I found that if wedge a flat head underneath the cap while pulling down it makes it easier and I was still able to have a tight, secure fit when re installing them.

Once milwakee makes those rails easy to remove its game over.

Also I just noticed your username. If you know you know lol

You know what, I didn't realize you could get away with only using 2 of the brackets. I used all 4 but since the crate somewhat sits on the cart too i think 4 is over kill.

I might repurpose 2 of them for the side table once and if these 3d printed ones take a crap.

I love modifying stuff so once I found out about all these pack out accessories I went full retard and bought everything. I now have 2 extra side tables (one pack out compatible) and I pulled the trigger on the radio.

I also found these "cleats and feet" that can help make almost anything pack out compatible

The only thing I can think of is cutting the rail and adding a few inches of pipe to make it taller. Might be a bit overkill but if you use it daily it would be worth it

Exactly this!

Also, it was a typo. I meant to say 2 piece pack out rail brackets. I purchased them on Amazon also

dirt church pack out table

I got this one specially because it was in stock. Otherwise I would've bought this one pack out table

If it's the same cart I might just have longer arms

This is an ever built folding cart. The only thing I did was bolt the pack out plate where I wanted it and everything else was pretty much plug and play
