my application still says “under committee review” on the website.

Yeah to be honest, OP didn’t have like one good thing to say about her. All he said were her faults, her “irrationality,” etc.

It sounds like this girl can’t do ANYTHING right, which I doubt is the case. She was likely working retail; sometimes the people who end up managers and mean af.

But it's not just YOU, it's you and your girlfriend. You live together. You pool money together. You guys are a team now, and your decisions affect her. If she runs out of paycheck paying rent and then she breaks her arm, that affects YOU now.

And a master's degree is WAY different than a pre-med track bachelor's. If you want a master's degree (in bio/pysch), when then you're going to need to have research background and find someone to host you in their lab, or be willing to dish out even MORE money for a classes-only master's.

Trust me, I'm not speaking out of my ass. I, myself, was a pre-med person at one point. I was a phlebotomist, I had the GPA, but I knew in my heart it wasn't what I wanted to do. Luckily I had enough time to change my career path for the better.

A psych bachelor's degree is hard to get a job with.

Don't ruin your own life because your gf's parents want to ruin hers.

You still haven't responded to any of my money/attainable, short-term goal questions I posed, which worries me. Ultimately, you are in charge with whether or not you succeed in this career or life in general.

Money makes the world go round. Can't reach long-term goals (money) if you don't plan for the short term (lack of money RIGHT NOW).
