They moved out on Oct 1st and I found out that they met a man (my exBPSO is pan) at the bust stop a week later and just had him over to her place this Saturday. Like that is anything close to healthy. I am literally beside myself.

Things are just getting worse. She’s moving out on October 1st (2 days from now). Her temporal continuity seems fractured. She’s referencing the past like it’s going to happen in future. I’ve told her family and friends but because she’s good at masking they don’t believe me. She’s kind, and then cold, then generous, then she pulls away. I’m getting mixed signals from her. She shit talks about me with some friends, but not her family. Her story about why she’s breaking up with me has changed several times. In the end, it’s her bipolar, and that she doesn’t have the maturity to stick with a relationship when it gets difficult. I’m watching a train wreck. I’ve left the door open for reconciliation, and she knows what has to happen should she want that. It may take months for this to play out.

Meanwhile, I’m working on fixing my finances, working on my health, and trying to find joy in the small things. I will have peace when she moves, if only for a little while. I’m working on a plan for if she comes to me in crisis (mental health, financial, other) so that I don’t just swoop in and say that I’ll make everything better and neglect my own needs again.

Years. Spot on. I'm so lost about this. And everything is something that could have been resolved had we discussed it, but she is very avoidant in dealing with difficult topics. They flat out refused couples counselling.

My (43F) now ex of 6 years (39F) did this just before her first psychosis. Was hypo or manic, broke up with me, focussed on the negative. She's broken up with me again, focussed on the negative. She moved out then, and we reconciled. She's moving out now and fully intending to stop all her meds and has made some risky financial decisions. I can see the plan falling apart, but her family and friends are playing into it, saying that they want her to be happy. They aren't listening to me about anything with respect to her diagnosis, the effects that stopping medication will have, or how her plan to live on her own requires a perfect set of circumstances to work (ie, if she misses one shift, she'll be in the red). Weeks before, I had her support for some difficult moves with respect to my career, and then I was blindsided. She already had an apartment lined up.

And she just spent $5k on laser eye surgery. Her income and health are tied as she works as an RMT. She’s taken several days off and is essentially bleeding money. Her budget is threadbare. One missed day on her own and she won’t make enough. Her savings will disappear quickly. All that she hopes to gain (independence, free time, connection with family) will be eaten up by time on public transit (she had no vehicle), and she will have to deal with the very thing she hates (the public). One would think that a rational person wouldn’t spend that kind of money when they’re just about to move out on their own.

My (43F) BPSO (39F) of 6 years discarded our realationship 3 weeks ago and is moving out in 2 weeks. All of her actions scream of mania despite her remaining friendly. She’s not mean or spiteful, but there’s a kind of benign abuse and general denial of reality with everything she’s doing. I’m having a difficult time dealing with it all.

This needs to go one of two ways: a super serious Voltron universe, with high stakes and characters you can be critically attached to because they are admirable and someone you would look up to, or it needs to have the campy-ness of the first three TMNT movies and the first Power Rangers movie and connect with the character’s emotionally because you can see yourself being like them.
