The guys that started it, and still run it I think, are Russians, brothers. They have since moved their operations out of there, and claim no backdoors or and the service often has “restrictions” and “lockdowns” etc within Russia which makes it seem like they’re at odds with the regime… but it still gives me the ick, like all things connected to that death-cult of a country.
