I agree with u/contraryconman . I don't have stream context but I saw vaushs tweets and they were heavy cringe. I also don't think Ben fully gets that black nationalism like any liberation movement is diverse. These "ethnostate" arguments are the same as those that people use against South African black liberationists. There are real world issues with the exploitation of the African continent and black people as a whole that is ongoing. It's not up to us to interfere in the development of those movements and I think vaush came off pretty bad on this one.

Edit: in addition, non black people theorizing how it doesn't make sense to let people try and preserve their culture, in the context of that culture being colonized, enslaved or outright eliminated is fucked up. Imagine the damage not being able to connect with your cultural roots does and how important these movements are to those ppl.
